Beyond All Sense 2005
''Beyond All Sense 2005'' is Destiny's sixth album, a re-recording of their 1985 album ''Beyond All Sense'', and was released on May 11, 2005. The original album was only released in Sweden in a limited number of 2000 copies of vinyl. Most of the music on the album was written by former Destiny guitarists Magnus Österman and John Prodén, and lyrics were largely from former Destiny singer Håkan Ring. "Lost to Heaven" (acoustic) and "Destiny" from the 1985 album were replaced by two previously unreleased bonus tracks. "Ode to You", originally written in 1983 and called "Please Don't Go", was rewritten by vocalist Kristoffer Göbel as a tribute to Dimebag Darrell after his 2004 death. The second bonus track, "No Way Out" (originally "He Is Free"), was cut from the 1985 album due to the time limit on vinyls and was rewritten by Göbel for the 2005 album. Destiny (band)
Destiny is a Swedish heavy metal band that was formed in 1980 by Stefan Björnshög (bass) and Magnus Österman (guitar). The band has released seven albums to date. Their debut album ''Beyond All Sense'' was released in 1985 and their latest one, ''Climate Change'', in October 2016. The band categorises its music as "mörk rock", which in English translates to "dark rock". Stefan Björnshög is the only remaining member from the original line-up. History The band's history traces back to 1980 when bassist Stefan Björnshög first met guitarist Magnus Österman. Together they formed the band Hexagon but soon changed its moniker to Destiny. After recording one demo in 1982 with singer Therese Hanseroth (1964–2012), they went through some line-up changes and vocalist Håkan Ring was added to the line-up. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. ''Atomic Winter'' is the Swedish heavy metal band Destiny's second studio album. It was released in September 1988 on both vinyl and CD. The album contains a re-recording of the song "Spellbreaker" from the previous album ''Beyond All Sense''. The album cover was painted by Derek Riggs, of Iron Maiden fame. Reception The album plunged into obscurity, despite positive responses from reviewers. "I won't waste space with their history, since I need all the space to praise them", a fanzine reviewer wrote. Paul Miller of '' Kerrang!'' claimed that "Quality of this sort his hard to find" and gave Atomic Winter KKKK½. Håkan is a common Swedish given name. It has a common origin with the Norwegian given name Haakon (modern Norwegian Håkon, Danish Hakon) in the Old Norse ''Hákon''. The meaning of the name is disputed but a possible meaning is "high son" from Old Norse ''há-'' ( Proto-Norse ''hauha-'') (high) and ''konr'' (kin). Peter Lundgren (born 29 January 1965) is a former professional male tennis player and tennis coach from Sweden. He preferred playing indoors, hardcourt and on grass to clay. Playing career Lundgren was one of the second generation of Swedish players along with Mats Wilander, Stefan Edberg, Joakim Nyström, Anders Järryd, Henrik Sundström, Hans Simonsson and Kent Carlsson that followed after the success of Björn Borg. He left Sundsvall as an 18-year-old and moved to Stockholm, to further his tennis career. In 1984 Lundgren finished the year ranked at 265. At the end of the 1985 season Lundgren jumped up 234 places on ranking list to finish at number 31. In the process he won his first title in Cologne as a qualifier defeating Wojtek Fibak, Goran Prpić, Jeremy Bates and Tim Wilkison before defeating Ramesh Krishnan in the final.
