Bettowynd Creek
Bettowynd Creek, a partly perennial stream of the Moruya River catchment, is located in the Southern Tablelands and South Coast regions of New South Wales, Australia. Course and features Bettowynd Creek rises below Benmanang Range, about south southwest of the village of Majors Creek, on the eastern slopes of the Great Dividing Range. The river flows generally northeast and then southeast before reaching its confluence with the Deua River in remote country south of the Monga National Park. The river descends over its course. The Deua River, being the main perennial river of the Moruya River catchment, is located in the South Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. Course and features The Deua River rises about southeast of Bendethera Mountain, on the eastern slopes of the Badja Range, part of the Great Dividing Range, within Deua National Park, in rugged and thickly forested ranges south of Braidwood. The river flows generally south, west, north, northeast, south southeast and east, making almost a complete circle, and is joined by fourteen minor tributaries, before becoming the Moruya River near Kiora. A stream is a continuous body of surface water flowing within the bed and banks of a channel. South Coast (New South Wales)
The South Coast refers to the narrow coastal belt from Shoalhaven district in the north to the border with Victoria in the south in the south-eastern part of the State of New South Wales, Australia. It is bordered to the west by the coastal escarpment of the Southern Tablelands, and is largely covered by a series of national parks, namely Jervis Bay National Park, Eurobodalla National Park, and Beowa National Park. To the east is the coastline of the Pacific Ocean, which is characterised by rolling farmlands, small towns and villages along a rocky coastline, interspersed by numerous beaches and lakes. A perennial stream is a stream that has continuous flow of surface water throughout the year in at least parts of its catchment during seasons of normal rainfall, Water Supply Paper 494. as opposed to intermittent river, one whose flow is intermittent. In the absence of irregular, prolonged or extreme drought, a perennial stream is a watercourse, or segment, element or emerging body of water which continually delivers groundwater. Moruya River
The Moruya River is an open and trained mature wave dominated barrier estuary or tidal river is located in the South Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. In its upper freshwater reaches, the river is known as the Deua River. Monga National Park
The Monga National Park is a national park located south west of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The closest town nearby is Braidwood. Monga features outstanding high altitude eucalyptus forest and temperate rainforest.
