Beth Marion
Beth Marion (born Betty Goettsche; July 11, 1912 – February 18, 2003) was an American B-movie actress of the 1930s, starring in westerns, her career spanning only about five years, mostly in 1936. Early years Born in Clinton, Iowa, Marion was the daughter of actor George Paul Goettsche (who went by the name George Paul) and Marion Stuart Paul. Her parents had their own stock theater troupe, the George Paul Company, and Marion traveled with them until she was three years old. When her parents divorced, she was raised by her grandparents in Clinton while her mother worked in Chicago and eventually remarried. Marion's elementary and secondary schooling occurred in Clinton. She attended Northwestern University, where she sang in a trio with two other young women. Career Marion acted in stock theater before entering films. Clinton, Iowa
Clinton is a city in and the county seat of Clinton County, Iowa, United States. The population was 24,469 as of 2020. Clinton, along with DeWitt (also located in Clinton County), was named in honor of the sixth governor of New York, DeWitt Clinton. Clinton is the principal city of the Clinton Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is coterminous with Clinton County. Clinton was incorporated on January 26, 1857. ''Ain't Misbehavin'' is a 1955 musical film released by Universal-International and starring Rory Calhoun, Piper Laurie, Jack Carson and Mamie Van Doren. A young, rich-dreaming club girl falls in love with and marries the rich man of her dreams. As she begins to try to change herself to fit in with the ladies of rich society, her husband feels she is misbehaving with another man. In the end, they divorce and Sarah goes to a remote lodge. Kenneth meets her there and another argument ensues. Sarah then overhears Kenneth talking to Piermont about his love for Sarah just the way she is, and she leaves for the club, leaving instructions for the lodge master to tell Kenneth where she is. Kermit Maynard (September 20, 1897 – January 16, 1971) was an American actor and stuntman. Early years Born in Vevay, Indiana, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Maynard and a lookalike younger brother of actor Ken Maynard; they were frequently assumed to be identical twins. Maynard was a 1916 graduate of Columbus High School in Columbus, Indiana. He graduated with a degree in engineering from Indiana University and played college football as a lineman for the Indiana Hoosiers in the early 1920s. While at the university, he lettered in three sports in one year. After he finished college, Maynard worked as a claims agent for the George H. Hormel Meat Packing Company.
