Bestival2008
Bestival was a four-day music festival held in the south of England. It had been held annually in the late summer since 2004 at Robin Hill on the Isle of Wight. In 2017 the festival relocated to the Lulworth Estate in Dorset. The event was organised by DJ and record producer Rob da Bank along with his wife Josie and was an offshoot of his Sunday Best record label and club nights. The initial Bestival attracted 10,000 people, growing to 50,000 in its final year, 2018. Bestival won 'Best Major Festival' at the 2015 UK Festival Awards, having won 'Best Medium-Sized Festival' in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009, 'Best Major Festival' in 2010, 2012 and in 2015, 'Fan's Favourite' in 2011 and 'Best Innovation' in 2005. Dorset ( ; archaically: Dorsetshire , ) is a county in South West England on the English Channel coast. Soulwax are an electronic band from Ghent, Belgium. Centred around brothers David and Stephen Dewaele, other current members include Igor Cavalera and Stefaan Van Leuven. They were first noticed after the release of their album ''Much Against Everyone's Advice'', but after that, the Dewaeles started focusing on their other projects, such as 2manydjs (first known as The Fucking Dewaele Brothers/The Flying Dewaele Brothers). Super Furry Animals are a Welsh rock band formed in Cardiff in 1993. For the duration of their professional career, the band consisted of Gruff Rhys (lead vocals, guitar), Huw Bunford (lead guitar, vocals), Guto Pryce (bass guitar), Cian Ciaran (keyboards, synthesisers, various electronics, occasional guitar, vocals), Dafydd Ieuan (drums, vocals). The Magic Numbers are an English pop rock band consisting of two brother-and-sister pairs, from Hanwell in west London. Röyksopp
Röyksopp (), a Norwegian electronic music duo from Tromsø formed in 1998. The duo consists of Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland. Berge and Brundtland were introduced to each other through a mutual friend in Tromsø, Norway. They enjoyed the same films and music, and shared an interest in electronics. The two experimented with various forms of electronic music, and bought a drum machine together during the Tromsø techno scene before going their separate ways. Several years later, the two met up again and formed Röyksopp during the Bergen Wave. Subgiant (band)
Subgiant is a UK electro trio founded in London, consisting of Olly Maw, Dan Hayes, and Tushar Joshi, formed in 2004. Subgiant have made appearances at festivals such as Glastonbury, Bestival, Blissfields and Glade Festival as well as various clubs worldwide. History Olly Maw and Dan Hayes met as bassist and DJ (respectively) in 2000, and formed what, in its early days, was a dub act. In 2004 Tushar Joshi joined on electro drums after a chance encounter at Blissfields festival 2003. The band then concentrated on the live performance of electro music-orientated music. Myles MacInnes (born 10 May 1978), better known by his stage name Mylo, is a Scottish electronic musician and record producer.
