Kent (band)
Kent was a Swedish rock-pop band, formed in Eskilstuna in 1990. With members Joakim Berg, Martin Sköld, Sami Sirviö and Markus Mustonen, the band had numerous radio hits throughout Sweden and Scandinavia and consecutive number-one studio albums on the Sweden top list (Sverigetopplistan) beginning with the release of ''Verkligen'' (1996) and led by the single "Kräm (så nära får ingen gå)". With origins rooted in distorted rock, they found mainstream success through their alternative rock albums of the mid-1990s, 2000s and 2010s, the latter decades during which they adopted elements of synthpop. With eleven number-one albums, five number-one singles, 23 Swedish Grammy Awards, and over 3 million record sales, Kent is considered the most popular rock/pop group within Sweden and throughout Scandinavia. ''Vapen & ammunition'' (2002) topped the Swedish charts for 95 weeks. Kent is often compared to bands like U2 and Coldplay. As Kent's songs are primarily performed in Swedish, ...

Hagnesta Hill
''Hagnesta Hill'' is an album by the Swedish band Kent, released in 1999 (Swedish version) and 2000 (English version). For the English version two new songs, "Quiet Heart" and "Just Like Money" were recorded, and "Ett tidsfördriv att dö för" and "Insekter" were left out. "Ett tidsfördriv att dö för" was later used as a hidden track in the Digipak version, where it's called "A Timekill to Die For". This was the second and last English album Kent recorded. Track listing Swedish version English version * The lyrics contained in Rollercoaster (All those memories will be lost in time/Like tears in the rain) are lifted from the penultimate scene of Blade Runner, as spoken by Roy Batty to Rick Deckard. On Kent's previous album Isola, the band also paid homage to the film, as the song "OWC" stands for Off World Colonies and the opening piano line was also from the movie. It was released on 17 October 2007 in Scandinavia through RCA Records and Sony BMG. The album is produced with Danish producer Joshua. Background The band began recording ''Tillbaka till samtiden'' in November 2006 in Allaire Studios in New York City. In October 2006, just one month prior to the recording sessions rhythm guitarist Harri Mänty left the band which meant it was "more vulnerable when being one man less, but it has also glued us more together", according to guitarist Sami Sirviö. Ingenting (song)
"'Ingenting" (Swedish for ''Nothing'') is a song by Swedish alternative rock band Kent from their seventh studio album, ''Tillbaka till samtiden''. It was released as the album's lead single on 17 September 2007 through RCA Records and Sony BMG. Critical reception Anders Nunstedt of ''Expressen'' wrote: "The opening is sensational. First some chords on something that sounds like a deformed harp, then a disco beat that brings to mind old Pet Shop Boys and a synth riff that could have been signed by Depeche Mode. ..The melody is irresistible and the lyrics, with their deep darkness and references to Hagnesta Hill, are immediately shocking. The Swedish single of the fall, without a doubt." Håkan Steen of ''Aftonbladet ''Aftonbladet'' (, lit. "The evening paper") is a Swedish daily newspaper published in Stockholm, Sweden. Du & Jag Döden
''Du & jag döden'' (Swedish for ''You & Me Death'') is the sixth studio album by Swedish alternative rock band Kent. The album was released on 15 March 2005 through RCA Records and Sony BMG. It is the final studio album to feature rhythm guitarist Harri Mänty, who left the band during the recording of ''Tillbaka till samtiden'' (2007). ''Du & jag döden'' debuted at number one in Sweden and Norway, and at number two in Denmark and Finland. As of 2007 the album had sold 220,000 copies worldwide. Background The band's previous album, ''Vapen & Ammunition'' (2002) became a commercial success, but lead singer and primary songwriter Joakim Berg has said it's not the album "we want to be remembered for". Kent, along with many critics, felt that ''Vapen & ammunition'' was some over-produced and according to rhythm guitarist Harri Mänty the band wanted to "rediscover, how we sound". Joakim Berg wanted to distance himself from the verse-chorus-verse based songs from the previous alb ...
