Best News Entertainment (abbreviated as BNE) is a New Zealand television, radio and print media company specialising in media for Asian migrants and Asian language communities. It operates TV28, a free-to-air television channel on the Freeview (New Zealand), Freeview platform and three 24-hour radio networks through terrestrial radio. The radio stations, AM936, Chinese Radio FM 99.4 and Chinese Radio FM 104.2, broadcast a combination of Hong Kong and Chinese programmes, and local music, parenting and talkback shows. The company was known as World TV from its formation in 2000 until 2021, when it was acquired by new owners. In December 2005, the company claimed to have 11,500 subscribers across the country for its seven channels of Chinese, Taiwanese and Hong Kong programmes. 576i is a standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for digitizing analog television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz. Because of its close association with the legacy color encoding systems, it is often referred to as PAL, PAL/ SECAM or SECAM when compared to its 60 Hz (typically, see PAL-M) NTSC-colour-encoded counterpart, 480i. ''The New Zealand Herald'' is a daily newspaper published in Auckland, New Zealand, owned by New Zealand Media and Entertainment, and considered a newspaper of record for New Zealand. It has the largest newspaper circulation of all newspapers in New Zealand, peaking at over 200,000 copies in 2006, although circulation of the daily ''Herald'' had declined to 100,073 copies on average by September 2019. Triangle TV
Face TV (previously Triangle Television) is a public service television station based in Auckland, New Zealand. Since August 1998. It broadcasts on the Sky Network as of December 2013 ASO. Previously, Triangle has broadcast across Auckland on analogue UHF (before December 2013 ASO) via a government-owned UHF channel reserved for non-commercial regional television from transmitters at Waiatarua, Pinehill and Remuera. The station is a registered charity supported by the Lion Foundation and Foundation North. Airtime is leased out to volunteer and professional programme providers on a first-come, first-served basis. Providers are allowed to air a limited number of commercials (a maximum of 6 minutes per half-hour of broadcast) during their programmes, and have complete editorial control over content. TVNZ 1 ( mi, Te Reo Tātaki Tahi) is the first national television channel owned and operated by the state-owned broadcaster Television New Zealand (TVNZ). It is the oldest television broadcaster in New Zealand, starting out from 1960 as independent channels in the four main centres of Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, networking in 1969 to become NZBC TV (although the individual facilities retained their call signs into the 1970s). C4 was a New Zealand television channel owned and operated by MediaWorks New Zealand. C4 was available on both digital terrestrial and satellite platforms and played music around the clock, including from their radio side from The Rock, The Edge, The Breeze, More FM, George FM, Mai FM & The Sound. C4 also aired a lot of speciality music shows such as ''HomeGrown'', ''Top 10/100'', ''Video Hits'', ''Fade To Black'', ''Steel Mill'' and ''Biggest Records Right Now''. Winston Raymond Peters (born 11 April 1945) is a New Zealand politician serving as the leader of New Zealand First since its foundation in 1993. Peters served as the 13th deputy prime minister of New Zealand from 1996 to 1998 and 2017 to 2020, the minister of Foreign Affairs from 2005 to 2008 and 2017 to 2020, and the treasurer of New Zealand from 1996 to 1998.
