''Best Days'' is the third studio album by American recording artist Tamela Mann, released on Mann's own independent record label Tillymann Music Group on August 14, 2012. ''Best Days'' debuted at number fourteen on the US ''Billboard'' 200 and topped the Top Gospel Albums chart, becoming Mann's highest charting album to date. Chart performance ''Best Days'' debuted at number fourteen on the US ''Billboard'' 200 with first week sales of 16,670 units. It also peaked at number one on the Top Gospel Albums chart, and number ten on the year-end chart. The following week the album sold 11,169 units 9,637 in its third, 10,286 in its fourth and 8,538 in its fifth week, bringing total sales to 56,300 units in just over a month. Tamela Mann
Tamela Jean Mann (née Johnson; born June 9, 1966) is an American gospel singer, songwriter, and actress. Mann began her career as a singer with the gospel group Kirk Franklin and the Family. She was a featured soloist on several tracks while with Franklin's group, including " Now Behold the Lamb", and " Lean on Me", the latter of which also included Mary J. Blige, Crystal Lewis, R. Kelly, and Bono. She began her solo career by releasing the albums ''Gotta Keep Movin'' (2005), and ''The Master Plan'' (2009). Kirk Dewayne Franklin (born January 26, 1970) is an American songwriter, choir director, gospel singer, and rapper. He is best known for leading urban contemporary gospel ensembles such as The Family, God's Property, and One Nation Crew (1NC) among many others. He has won numerous awards, including 16 Grammy Awards. ''Variety'' dubbed Franklin as a "Reigning King of Urban Gospel", and is one of the inaugural inductees into the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame. The Heatseekers Albums and the Heatseekers Songs charts were introduced by ''Billboard'' in 1991 with the purpose of highlighting the sales by new and developing musical recording artists.
