Beryl Friday
Beryl Friday (born 19 January 1994) is an Australian netball player. Friday was a member of the Queensland Firebirds teams that won the 2015 and 2016 ANZ Championships. She has also played for Queensland Fusion, Territory Storm and Canberra Giants in the Australian Netball League, Team Bath in the Netball Superleague and West Coast Fever in Suncorp Super Netball. Early life, family and education Friday is an Aboriginal Australian woman from Ingham, North Queensland. She is a Kuku Nyungkal woman of the Kuku Yalanji nation. She is also a descendant of the Olkolo, the Birri Gubba and the Kamilaroi nations. She was one of five children. Her mother and two older sisters were keen netballers and at eight years old, Beryl was taken to the local courts of the Herbert River Netball Association. Ingham, Queensland
Ingham is a rural town and locality in the Shire of Hinchinbrook, Queensland, Australia. In the , the locality of Ingham had a population of 4,426 people. It is named after William Bairstow Ingham and is the administrative centre for the Shire of Hinchinbrook. 2019 Netball Superleague Season
The 2019 Netball Superleague season was the fourteenth season of the Netball Superleague, the elite domestic netball competition in the United Kingdom. The season commenced on 5 January 2019. Manchester Thunder were the champions and defeated Wasps Netball in the Grand Final at the Copper Box Arena. The Thunder's victory ended Wasps' back-to-back run of titles and was their third championship in the competition. Overview Teams At the end of the previous season, England Netball announced the withdrawal of Team Northumbria from the competition. British Fast5 Netball All-Stars Championship
The British Fast5 Netball All-Stars Championship is a Fast5 netball pre-season tournament featuring teams from the Netball Superleague. The rules of the tournament are similar, though not identical, to the Fast5 Netball World Series. In 2017 Loughborough Lightning won the inaugural championship. History The tournament was established in March 2017 by England Netball in partnership with Barry Hearn's Matchroom Sport. In September 2017 Loughborough Lightning won the inaugural championship. Tasmanian Magpies are an Australian netball team that represents Tasmania in the Australian Netball League. They were ANL champions in 2018. Australian National Netball Championships
The Australian National Netball Championships are a series of annual netball tournaments, organised by Netball Australia and featuring representative teams from the states and territories of Australia. The earliest tournaments took place during 1920s. Until 2005, the championships featured an open tournament, as well tournaments for under-17, under-19 and under-21 teams. Netball Queensland is the governing body for netball in Queensland. It is affiliated to Netball Australia. Ron Clarke
Ronald William Clarke, AO, MBE (21 February 1937 – 17 June 2015) was an Australian athlete, writer, and the Mayor of the Gold Coast from 2004 to 2012. He was one of the best-known middle- and long-distance runners in the 1960s, notable for setting seventeen world records. Vicki Wilson
Vicki Wilson, OAM, (born 11 February 1965 in Brisbane, Queensland) is an Australian netball coach and retired international player. She is the current head coach of the Netball Fiji side. Netball career Wilson was a part of the Australian national netball team for fifteen years, making her debut in 1985. Wilson became captain of the Australian netball team in 1996, while on the comeback trail from a knee injury sustained at the 1995 Netball World Championships. The Birri Gubba people, formerly known as Biria, are an Aboriginal Australian people of the state of Queensland.
