Bernt Östh
Generalmajor (Sweden), Major General Bernt Nils Sune Östh (born 20 December 1936) was a Swedish Air Force officer. Östh served as Chief of the Air Staff (Sweden), Chief of the Air Staff from 1990 to 1994 and as chief of the Joint Staff (''Gemensamma staben'') at the Swedish Armed Forces Headquarters from 1994 to 1997. Early life Östh was born on 20 December 1936 in Värnamo Parish, Jönköping County, Sweden, the son of Martin Östh and his wife Astrid (née Willstrand). He passed ''studentexamen'' in 1956. Career Östh was commissioned as an officer in the Swedish Air Force in 1959 with the rank of ''Fänrik''. He served as a combat control officer at Norrbotten Wing (F 21) from 1959 to 1964 and was promoted to lieutenant in 1961, and served in the Air Staff (Sweden), Air Staff from 1964 to 1965. Värnamo
Värnamo (), historically known as Wernamo, is a town in Jönköping County in the south of Sweden. It is situated on the river Lagan just north of the lake Vidöstern. It is the seat of Värnamo Municipality and has 19,778 inhabitants as of 31 December 2020. The name comes from old Swedish ''värn'' ( sconce) and ''mo'' (sandy flat land). History Värnamo traces its history back to a village in the medieval age; the first written mention of it stems from the 13th century. It came into existence as a village to the eastern side of a fordable place over the Lagan, a river that for large parts is difficult to travel by. As there are also smaller streams to the south and west of this location, it was considered something of a safeguard, leading to its name being amalgamated from the two Swedish words ''värn'', which means safeguard, and ''mo'' which is a geographical location reference describing the kind of land on which the town is situated. Curt Westberg
Major General Curt Westberg (born 14 September 1943) is a retired Swedish Air Force officer. His senior commands include commanding officer of the Gotland Military District, Central Military District as well as Commandant General in Stockholm. Career Westberg was commissioned as an officer in the Swedish Air Force in 1970 with the rank of second lieutenant after graduating from the Swedish Air Force Flying Training School (''Flygvapnets flygskola''). He was promoted to lieutenant in 1972, to captain in 1975 and to major in 1983. Until 1983 he served most of the time at Norrbotten Wing (F 21), where he, among other things, served as squadron commander and flight commander. Kjell Nilsson (Swedish Air Force Officer)
Lieutenant General Kjell Gustav Nilsson (2 August 1943 – 12 January 2018) was a Swedish Air Force officer, ice hockey player and sports administrator. Nilsson's senior commands includes commander of the Northern Air Command (1995–1996), Chief of Staff of the Northern Military District (1996–1998), and Chief of Joint Operations Command (1998–2000). Nilsson served as chairman of the Swedish Ice Hockey Association from June 2002 to June 2004. Major General Bert Göran Stenfeldt (born 12 August 1933) was a Swedish Air Force officer. Stenfeldt served as Chief of the Air Staff from 1987 to 1990 and as the commander of the First Air Group from 1990 to 1994.
