Bernt Heiberg
Johan Bernt Krohg Heiberg (4 September 1909 – 29 September 2001) was a Norwegian architect. Early and personal life He was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. He was the son of barrister Axel Heiberg (1875–1952) and his wife Ragnhild Krohg (1879–1947). He had two brothers: Axel Heiberg jr. (1908–88) and Edvard Heiberg (1911–2000). In 1935, Heiberg married Halldis Rollang (1910–92). Career Heiberg took examen artium in 1927. He thereafter moved to Trondheim, where he studied at the Norwegian Institute of Technology. In 1936, he was hired as an assistant by Frithjof Stoud Platou. Four years later, he started his own architectural firm in Oslo. In the 1950s, Heiberg designed many buildings for the housing cooperative Oslo Bolig- og Sparelag and Christiania Bank. Edvard Heiberg
Edvard Heiberg (11 June 1911, in Oslo – 10 June 2000, in Oslo) was a Norwegian director and engineer. Heiberg was the youngest son of barrister Axel Heiberg (1875–1952) and his wife Ragnhild Krohg (1879–1947). He had two brothers, Axel Heiberg Jr. (1908–1988) and Bernt Heiberg (1909–2001). In 1937, he married Karin Eldrid Heiberg (1915–92), with whom he had the sons Arvid Heiberg (1937–). and Henning Heiberg (8 September 1940). He started studying in 1929, and graduated in 1934 from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in Trondheim. In 1935, he was employed by the construction company F. Selmer A/S. In the same year, he became assisting engineer in the Norwegian State Railways. Frithjof Stoud Platou
Frithjof Stoud Platou (21 August 1903 – 12 August 1980) was a Norwegian architect. He worked for the international architects Lars Backer and Erich Mendelsohn before he established his own architectural firm in Oslo. Among his most famous works are the Grand Hotel and the Kon-Tiki Museum, both in Oslo. Personal life Platou was born in Hamar to the banker Gabriel Andreas Stoud Platou (1858–1911) and his wife Ingeborg Sophie Falck (1864–1958). His only brother was Ragnar Stoud Platou, who later became a ship broker. Platou was nephew of Christian Emil and Waldemar Stoud Platou, and cousin of Karen Platou. In 1931, Platou married Aagot Jeanette Robsahm (1907–56), a daughter of wholesaler Andreas Robsahm (1878–1949) and his wife Aagot Manskow (1883–1970). Mot Dag
Mot Dag (, 'Towards Day') was a Norwegian political group. The group was active from the 1920s to the early 1930s and was first affiliated with the Labour Party. After World War II, many of its former members were leaders in Norwegian politics and cultural activities. History and profile It was established in 1921 under the initiative of Erling Falk (1887–1940), partly with origins in the debate forum in the Social Democratic Student Association () at the University of Oslo; partly from a Falk-led study circle which, from 1919, involved Viggo Hansteen, Axel Sømme, and Arnold Hazeland.
