Berlin Raceway
Berlin Raceway is a 7/16 mile long paved oval race track in Marne, Michigan, United States, near Grand Rapids. The track races weekly as part of the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series. It has also held touring series events on the ARCA Menards Series, ARCA Menards Series East, American Speed Association National Tour, USAC Stock Cars, USAC Silver Crown, World of Outlaws Sprint cars, and World of Outlaws Late Model Series tours. The track opened in 1950. It was originally a horse track before World War II. Berlin's current track record is 12.513 seconds, set by Brian Gerster in 2018 in a winged sprint car. Berlin Raceway takes its name from the city of Marne's original name "Berlin," which was changed due to Anti-German sentiment following World War I. Zinsser SmartCoat 200 (Berlin)
The Herr's Snacks 200 is an ARCA Menards Series race held at Berlin Raceway. The race has been scheduled on either the ARCA Menards Series or ARCA Menards Series East schedules each year except for 2019 (and run each year except that year and 2020). History The ARCA Permatex SuperCar Series (now known as the ARCA Menards Series), ran its inaugural race at the track in 1986. It then was off the schedule for a dozen years. In 1999, it was added back to the series (now the ARCA Bondo/Mar-Hyde Series) schedule and remained on it each year until 2017, when it was taken off the ARCA schedule in exchange for a NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race. Todd Gilliland won the only East Series race at the track in 2017. After one year on the East Series schedule, the race was moved back to the ARCA schedule in 2018 but taken off again in 2019. World Of Outlaws Late Model Series
The World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Model Series is a Dirt Super Late Model touring series currently owned by World Racing Group, and is sanctioned by the World of Outlaws & DIRTcar. The series competes on dirt ovals across the United States, primarily throughout the east coast & the midwest. The series has also raced in Canada in previous years. The series is currently sponsored by Case Construction Equipment. The cars feature a purpose-built chassis design specifically for dirt late model racing. Bob Keselowski
Robert Allen Keselowski (August 1, 1951 – December 22, 2021) was an American professional stock car racing driver. He owned K Automotive Racing and was a competitor in the ARCA Hooters SuperCar Series and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Racing career In the ARCA Series, he had 24 wins, 26 poles, and a 1989 championship. Keselowski was one of the original drivers in the Camping World Truck Series in 1995 when it raced under the name the NASCAR SuperTruck Series. After finishing 15th in the inaugural season, he finished 16th in the second season. Keselowski won his only NASCAR race when he won the 1997 Virginia Is For Lovers 200 at Richmond International Raceway. Carson S. Hocevar (born January 28, 2003) is an American professional dirt track and stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 42 Chevrolet Silverado for Niece Motorsports. Bob Senneker (born December 12, 1944) is an American stock car racing driver from Dorr, Michigan near Grand Rapids. He is best known for racing on the American Speed Association (ASA) National Tour where he was the 1990 champion. Senneker's 85 wins was the most in series history. Tim Steele (born March 1, 1968) is a retired American stock car racer. He won three ARCA Remax Series national championships and raced in NASCAR's highest three series. He was inducted in the Michigan Motor Sports Hall of Fame in 2009. Background Steele began racing as a 5-year-old in motorcycle ice racing. He finished second in Michigan's 125cc AMA motocross division.
