Berkel En Rodenrijs
270px, Town sign Berkel en Rodenrijs () is a town and former municipality in the municipality of Lansingerland, in the province of South Holland, The Netherlands. The town is very close to ROTTERDAM History Berkel en Rodenrijs was founded in the twelfth century. Its character changed across the centuries. Prior to its development, the land consisted of peat soil, which was cultivated for the production of turf. This cultivation resulted in the appearance of moors. During the 18th century the moors were drained and agricultural use of polder land commenced. The years that followed resulted in significant changes to the town due to residential and commercial building developments. Peter-Paul Pigmans
Peter-Paul Pigmans (31 January 1961 – 27 August 2003) was a Dutch gabber music producer, best known for his production under the pseudonym 3 Steps Ahead. Born in Berkel en Rodenrijs and based out of Rotterdam, Pigmans' music is widely considered one of the most innovative specimens of the gabber genre; while many gabber producers favor raw force and little virtuosity when creating a song, Pigmans' music always had a strong technical side, and his songs often featured atmospherical elements, an unusual thing in the genre at the time. He was also known for his extremely wild live shows. His first full-length album ''Most Wanted & Mad'' (1997) reached #35 on the Dutch album top 100. Pigmans was diagnosed with brain cancer in 1999. Tim Joost Christiaan Vincken (born 12 September 1986) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a winger for Feyenoord, Excelsior, De Graafschap, Atlético Baleares, and VV Capelle. He is the chairman of the Institute for Multiparty Democracy since 20 January 2018.
