Berit Frodi
Berit Marianne Frodi (born 19 April 1926) is a Swedish actress, singer and director. Biography Frodi was born in April 1926 in Gothenburg. She was the daughter of Roland Frodi (died 1975), a shipowner and Vanja Dymling (died 1987). Her youngest sisters, Barbro Frodi (died 2017), was a television producer and Ittla Frodi (died 2003) was an actress. She began her stage career as a student soloist in Storan's choir in Gothenburg in 1947 and entered the pupil school at Gothenburg City Theater in 1950. One of the most remarkable roles in cinema was Lena Hagen in drama-detective film ''Girl without a name'' (1954). Frodi's career as an actress and singer ended when she married the conductor Gunnar Staern. The two first met at Gävle city theater in September 1957 and married on 3 February 1960. Gothenburg City Theatre
Gothenburg City Theatre ( sv, Göteborgs stadsteater) opened in 1934 at Götaplatsen square in Gothenburg, Sweden. The theatre was designed by Swedish architect Carl Bergsten who gave the exterior a Neo-Classical look with a touch of Streamline Moderne. The critics thought it to be a too old-fashioned building – the International Style had had a big breakthrough some years before at the 1930 Stockholm Exhibition. But the interiors of the building pleased the reviewers who thought the auditorium to be "intimate" and “democratic”. The theatre went through a major renovation some years ago and the auditorium was equipped with new technology and with new seats. Gävle
Gävle () is a city in Sweden, the seat of Gävle Municipality and the capital of Gävleborg County. It had 77,586 inhabitants in 2020, which makes it the 13th most populated city in Sweden. It is the oldest city in the historical Norrland (Sweden's Northern Lands), having received its charter in 1446 from Christopher of Bavaria.
