The University of Wuppertal (''Universität Wuppertal'') is a German scientific institution, located in Wuppertal, in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. A seal is a device for making an impression in Sealing wax, wax, clay, paper, or some other medium, including an embossment on paper, and is also the impression thus made. The original purpose was to authenticate a document, or to prevent interference with a package or envelope by applying a seal which had to be broken to open the container (hence the modern English verb "to seal", which implies secure closing without an actual wax seal). Lev Zalmanovich (Zinovyevich) Kopelev (russian: Лев Залма́нович (Зино́вьевич) Ко́пелев, German: Lew Sinowjewitsch Kopelew, 9 April 1912, Kyiv – 18 June 1997, Cologne) was a Soviet author and dissident. Early life Kopelev was born in Kyiv, then Russian Empire, to a middle-class Jewish family. In 1926, his family moved to Kharkiv. While a student at Kharkiv State University's philosophy faculty, Kopelev began writing in Russian and Ukrainian languages; some of his articles were published in the ''Komsomolskaya Pravda'' newspaper. An idealist communist and active party member, he was first arrested in March 1929 for "consorting with the Bukharinist and Trotskyist opposition," and spent ten days in prison. The ''CHE University Ranking'' (german: CHE Hochschulranking) is an annual ranking of German universities and colleges. It is a subject‐specific, multidimensional system aimed at providing information for students, with its main emphasis on teaching, rather than research. The ''Times Higher Education World University Rankings'' (often referred to as the THE Rankings) is an annual publication of university rankings by the ''Times Higher Education'' (THE) magazine. The publisher had collaborated with Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) to publish the joint ''THE-QS World University Rankings'' from 2004 to 2009 before it turned to Thomson Reuters for a new ranking system from 2010 to 2013. Walter Heidenfels (born 1961 in Tönisvorst, West Germany) is a German industrial designer and one of the key principles of TEAMS Design GmbH in Hamburg, Germany. He is known for his work for companies such as Schmersal and Busch-Jaeger. Heidenfels has been instrumental in extending long term relationships with companies such as Robert Bosch GmbH and Still Forklift (KION Group). He specializes in 3D CAD, such as Rhinoceros 3D, Pro/Engineer, SolidWorks and Unigraphics to bring his designs to life. History Heidenfels studied industrial design at the University of Wuppertal in Germany. From 1998 to 2002, Heidenfels and his associate partner, Danos Papadopoulos, ran an office called Wings of Design in Wuppertal. Godela Habel (18 September 1929 – 12 February 2022) was a German painter and artist. Life and work Godela Habel was born in Deutsch Krone, Posen-West Prussia, Weimar Germany on 18 September 1929. She studied from 1950 to 1953 at the art schools of Wuppertal and Hanover, focusing on painting and graphic design. She is known for her paintings and collages. She combined the methods of drawing and painting in her occasionally secretive work and made allowance for individual associations and interpretations. Christian Boros
Christian Boros (born 1964) is a German advertising agency founder and art collector, who owns an art gallery in a former bunker in Berlin. Early life Christian Boros was born in Zabrze, Poland in 1964. His family moved from Poland to Cologne, West Germany, in order to escape communism. Boros earned a degree in communication design from the University of Wuppertal, Germany. He wrote his thesis on the aesthetic of the evil characters in James Bond. Dieter Vieweger, a Biblical scholar and Prehistoric Archaeologist, was born in Chemnitz, East Germany in 1958. He studied Theology (Old Testament Studies) and Prehistoric Archaeology in Leipzig and Frankfurt am Main. After that he held a number of distinguished research and educational positions. Karl-Heinz Petzinka (born 7 January 1956) is a German architect, and Rector of the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. He is known for office buildings in Düsseldorf and Berlin.
