''Benny's Bathtub'' (Original title: ''Bennys badekar'') is a 1971 Danish animated film directed by Jannik Hastrup and Flemming Quist Møller. The film relates the story of a boy who flees the boring world of adults into a magical land in the bottom of his bathtub. Jannik Hastrup
Jannik Hastrup (born 4 May 1941 in Næstved, Denmark) is a Danish writer, director, producer, illustrator and animator. He is considered "Denmark's grand master of animation", as he is particularly well known for directing, animating and writing several animated films, occasionally with Flemming Quist Møller, including '' Benny's Bathtub'', ', '' Samson & Sally'', '' War of the Birds'', ''The Monkey's and the Secret Weapon'', ' and '' A Tale of Two Mozzies''. Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen (, 27 May 1946 – 19 April 2005), also known by his abbreviated nickname NHØP, was a Danish jazz double bassist. Biography Pedersen was born in Osted, near Roskilde, on the Danish island of Zealand, the son of a church organist. As a child, Ørsted Pedersen played piano, but from the age of 13, he started learning to play upright bass and at the age of 14, while studying, he began his professional jazz career in Denmark with his first band, Jazzkvintet 60 (Danish for Jazz Quintet 60). By the age of fifteen, he had the ability to accompany leading musicians at nightclubs, working regularly at Copenhagen's Jazzhus Montmartre, after his debut there on New Year's Eve 1961, when he was only 15. Allan Botschinsky (29 March 1940 – 26 November 2020) was a Danish jazz trumpeter and flugelhornist, composer, arranger, conductor, producer, and record label owner. Biography Botschinsky was born in Copenhagen, and had a background in classical music. His father played bassoon professionally. He began on trumpet aged 11. At 14, he studied at the Royal Danish Conservatorium. In 1956, he joined Ib Glindemann's big band, where he remained through 1959; he also performed with visiting American musicians around this time, such as Oscar Pettiford, Stan Getz, Dexter Gordon, Lee Konitz, Ben Webster, and Kenny Dorham.
