Benny Gall
Benny Gall (born 14 March 1971) is a Danish former footballer who played as a goalkeeper, and the current head coach of fourth tier Denmark Series club BK Avarta. He has previously been the manager of B93's 2nd Division East team and Elite 3000 Helsingør, BK Avarta. Before his job at B.93, he was the manager of F.C. Copenhagen's reserve team, Kjøbenhavns Boldklub. He also worked as an assistant coach at Akademisk Boldklub (AB). Gall, had a sporadically successful playing career in Denmark and a spell, with Shrewsbury Town in England when they were in Division Three. Galls first club was BK Fremad Amager near his home town of Copenhagen. Spells at Brønshøj BK Dordrecht 90 and De Graafschap followed, before he moved across to England to join up with Jake Kings Shrewsbury Town. While not an overly successful period in the club's history, Gall managed almost 40 appearances as he battled for the 1st team jersey with Paul Edwards. Denmark Series
The Denmark Series ( da, Danmarksserien) is the fifth tier in the Danish football league system. Teams are divided into four groups of ten. The top team in each group is promoted to the Danish 3rd Division. The bottom three teams in each group are relegated to the regional Copenhagen Series, Zealand Series, Lolland-Falster Series, Funen Series, or Jutland Series as is appropriate for each club geographically. Clubs in the Denmark Series are participants in the Danish Cup tournament. The reserve teams of top-flight Danish Superliga and second-tier Danish 1st Division clubs are allowed to play in the Denmark Series, but 1st Division reserve teams cannot win promotion, as they must stay at least two leagues below their first team squads. The Danish Superliga ( da, Superligaen, ) is the current Danish football championship tournament, and administered by the Danish Football Association. It is the highest football league in Denmark and is currently contested by 12 teams each year, with two teams relegated. History Founded in 1991, the Danish Superliga replaced the Danish 1st Division as the highest league of football in Denmark. From the start in 1991, 10 teams were participating. The opening Superliga season was played during the spring of 1991, with the ten teams playing each other twice for the championship title. From the summer of 1991, the tournament structure would stretch over two calendar years. The 10 teams would play each other twice in the first half of the tournament. Brønshøj BK
Brønshøj, part of the municipality of Copenhagen, forms, together with Husum, the administrative city district (''bydel'') of Brønshøj-Husum, in Denmark. History The first mention of the village Brønshøj (Brunshoga), is in a letter dated October 21, 1186 from Pope Urban III to Archbishop Absalon. Brønshøj Church dates from approximately the same time. In 1658-1660, during The Northern Wars, the village and its immediate surroundings were transformed into a military fortress and town, named Carlstad by the Swedish Army under the command of King Karl X Gustav. This town supported the Swedish siege of Copenhagen. The population reached c. 30,000, which was the same as that of Copenhagen itself. Shrewsbury Town
Shrewsbury Town Football Club is a professional association football club based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England. The team competes in League One, the third tier of English football. The club plays its home games at the New Meadow, having moved from the Gay Meadow in 2007.
