Benkehøa is a mountain on the border of Skjåk Municipality in Innlandet county and Rauma Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The tall mountain is located in the Tafjordfjella mountains and inside the Reinheimen National Park, about northeast of the village of Grotli. The mountain is surrounded by several other notable mountains including Storhøa to the east, Digerkampen and Dørkampen to the southeast, Høggøymen to the south, Veltdalseggi to the southwest, and Karitinden to the west. Storhøa is a mountain in Norway. The mountain peak is a tripoint on the border between the municipalities of Rauma (in Møre og Romsdal county) and Lesja and Skjåk (in Innlandet county). The tall mountain lies within Reinheimen National Park, about east-northeast of the village of Lesjaskog. Karitinden
Karitinden is a mountain in the Tafjordfjella mountain range inside Reinheimen National Park on the border of Innlandet and Møre og Romsdal counties in Norway. The top of the mountain is a tripoint border junction for Skjåk Municipality (in Innlandet county), and Fjord Municipality and Rauma Municipality (in Møre og Romsdal county). The nearest village is Tafjord which lies to the northwest. The lake Tordsvatnet lies southeast of the mountain and the mountain Puttegga lies to the northwest. Other mountains that surround the mountain include Benkehøa to the southeast, Veltdalseggi to the south, and Tordsnose to the southwest. Name The first element is the female name ''Kari'' and the last element is the finite form of ''tind'' which means "mountain peak". The reason for the name, and who the person Kari was, is unknown. The mountain Holhøi lies about to the southeast, the mountain Skarvehøi lies about to the east, and the mountain Storhøa lies about to the northwest. Rauma is a municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is part of the traditional district of Romsdal. The administrative centre is the town of Åndalsnes. Other settlements in Rauma include the villages of Måndalen, Innfjorden, Veblungsnes, Verma, Isfjorden, Eidsbygda, Rødven, Åfarnes, and Mittet. Skjåk is a municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Gudbrandsdal. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Bismo. Innlandet is a county in Norway.
