Benjamin Ryan
Benjamin Ryan (brother of Paul Ryan (agent), Paul Ryan) is a keyboard player and multi instrumentalist from Sudbury, Suffolk, Sudbury, in Suffolk, England. His earliest collaborations were with his guitar playing older brother Paul Ryan, with whom he went on to form Cradle of Filth, along with their school friend Daniel Davey (a.k.a. Dani Filth). After recording several demos, and a false start with their 'lost album' entitled 'Goetia', Cradle of Filth attained some success in the 1990s metal scene. Eventually the band signed to Cacophonous Records whilst Ryan was still only 16 years old, and released ''The Principle of Evil Made Flesh''. After the recording of ''The Principle of Evil Made Flesh'', both the Ryan brothers and bandmate Paul Allender left Cradle of Filth and formed cult metal band The Blood Divine. The Blood Divine recorded two studio albums and toured extensively for three years, building a following during the time they were together until 1998 when the band spl ...

Sudbury, Suffolk
Sudbury (, ) is a market town in the south west of Suffolk, England, on the River Stour near the Essex border, north-east of London. At the 2011 census, it had a population of 13,063. It is the largest town in the Babergh local government district and part of the South Suffolk constituency. Sudbury was an Anglo-Saxon settlement from the end of the 8th century, and its market was established in the early 11th century. Its textile industries prospered in the Late Middle Ages, the wealth of which funded many of its buildings and churches. The town became notable for its art in the 18th century, being the birthplace of Thomas Gainsborough, whose landscapes offered inspiration to John Constable, another Suffolk painter of the surrounding Stour Valley area. The 19th century saw the arrival of the railway with the opening of a station on the historic Stour Valley Railway, and Sudbury railway station forms the current terminus of the Gainsborough Line. In World War II, US Army Ai ...

Suffolk
Suffolk () is a ceremonial county of England in East Anglia. It borders Norfolk to the north, Cambridgeshire to the west and Essex to the south; the North Sea lies to the east. The county town is Ipswich; other important towns include Lowestoft, Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, and Felixstowe which has one of the largest container ports in Europe. The county is low-lying but can be quite hilly, especially towards the west. It is also known for its extensive farming and has largely arable land with the wetlands of the Broads in the north. The Suffolk Coast & Heaths and Dedham Vale are both nationally designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. History Administration The Anglo-Saxon settlement of Suffolk, and East Anglia generally, occurred on a large scale, possibly following a period of depopulation by the previous inhabitants, the Romanised descendants of the Iceni. By the fifth century, they had established control of the region. The Anglo-Saxon inhabitants later b ...

Cradle Of Filth
Cradle of Filth are an English extreme metal band formed in Suffolk in 1991. The band's musical style evolved originally from black metal to a cleaner and more "produced" amalgam of gothic metal, symphonic metal and other metal genres. Their lyrical themes and imagery are heavily influenced by Gothic literature, poetry, mythology and horror films. The band consists of its founding member, vocalist Dani Filth, drummer Martin Marthus Škaroupka, Martin 'Marthus' Škaroupka, bassist Daniel Firth, guitarists Marek 'Ashok' Šmerda and Donny Burbage, and keyboardist Zoe Marie Federoff. The band has broken free from its original niche by courting mainstream publicity. This increased accessibility has brought coverage from the likes of ''Kerrang!'' and MTV, along with frequent main stage appearances at major festivals such as Ozzfest, Download Festival, Download and even the mainstream Sziget Festival. They have sometimes been perceived as Satanism, Satanic by casual observers, even tho ...

The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh
''The Principle of Evil Made Flesh'' is the debut studio album by English extreme metal band Cradle of Filth. It was released on 24 February 1994 through Cacophonous Records, following three demos released between 1991 and 1993. The album's sound is significantly more raw than on subsequent releases, and frontman Dani Filth's vocals differ from his later style and technique. The album is a then-unusual hybrid of gothic metal and black metal. This would be the only album featuring guitarist Paul Ryan and keyboardist Benjamin Ryan; guitarist Paul Allender also left the band at this point, but returned five years later for ''Midian''. Some of the tracks from this album were later re-recorded for '' V Empire'' (1996), '' Bitter Suites to Succubi'' (2001), Evermore Darkly (2011) and '' Midnight in the Labyrinth'' (2012). Musical style In the book ''The Gospel of Filth'', Gavin Baddeley describes the album and its place within (or alongside) the contemporary black metal scene: ...

The Blood Divine
The Blood Divine were a British gothic metal band, founded in the summer of 1995 by Paul Allender, brothers Paul and Benjamin Ryan, and Darren White. Allender and the brothers Ryan had recently left Cradle of Filth after the release of '' The Principle of Evil Made Flesh'' and White had recently parted ways with Anathema. They recruited drummer William A. 'W.A.S.' Sarginson and bassist Steve Maloney and were quickly signed up by Peaceville Records. Their debut album '' Awaken'' was recorded in early 1996 and released through Peaceville Records later that year. At the end of 1996, they toured throughout Europe with Cathedral and label mates, My Dying Bride. In the early summer of 1997, they recorded their second album, '' Mystica'', and guitarist Paul Allender left the band to spend more time with his family (however he eventually rejoined Cradle of Filth). '' Mystica'' was released later that year, again through Peaceville Records. The album had less of a goth sound and more ...
