Benjamin Förster (footballer)
Benjamin Förster (born 14 November 1989) is a German professional footballer who plays as a striker for ZFC Meuselwitz. Career Förster came through Chemnitzer FC's youth system, and made his debut in a 2–1 home defeat to SV Babelsberg 03 in October 2008, as a substitute for Jörg Emmerich. Two seasons later helped the club win the Regionalliga Nord title, and promotion to the 3. Liga, finishing as the division's top scorer with 25 goals. After three years at this level, Förster joined Regionalliga Südwest club SV Elversberg for the 2014–15 season, along with team-mate Thomas Birk. 2009–10 Regionalliga
The 2009–10 Regionalliga season was the sixteenth since its re-establishment after German reunification and the second as a fourth-level league within the German football league system. It was contested in three divisions with eighteen teams each. The competition began on 7 August 2008 with the first matches of each division and ended on 29 May 2010. 2020–21 Regionalliga
The 2020–21 Regionalliga was the 13th season of the Regionalliga, the ninth under the new format, as the fourth tier of the German football league system. Format A new promotion format was decided on in 2019. From this season onward, the Regionalliga Südwest and West receive a fixed promotion spot. A third promotion spot rotates between the other three divisions, with the remaining two champions participating in play-offs for a fourth spot. A draw has determined that the Regionalliga Nordost receives the third direct promotion spot this season. The 2019–20 Regionalliga was the twelfth season of the Regionalliga, the eighth under the new format, as the fourth tier of the German football league system. Format The same promotion format as in the previous season was used. The 2018–19 Regionalliga is the eleventh season of the Regionalliga, the seventh under the new format, as the fourth tier of the German football league system. Regionalliga Nordost
The Regionalliga Nordost is the fourth tier of German football in the states of Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony and Thuringia. These comprise the states of former East Germany as well as West Berlin. It is one of five leagues at the fourth tier, together with the Regionalliga Bayern, Regionalliga Südwest, Regionalliga Nord and the Regionalliga West. From 1994 to 2000 it was part of the third tier, until the first of many re-structurings of the league system. The last of these occurred in 2012, which saw the Regionalliga Nordost reinstated.
