Ben White (cricketer)
Benjamin Charlie White (born 29 August 1998) is an Irish cricketer. In January 2016, White was named as part of Ireland's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. White made his international debut for the Ireland cricket team in July 2021. Biography In February 2021, White was named in the Ireland Wolves' squad for their tour to Bangladesh. It was his first call-up to the squad, with White saying that he was "over the moon" to get selected for the tour. Later the same month, White was also part of the intake for the Cricket Ireland Academy. White made his List A debut on 5 March 2021, for Ireland Wolves against the Bangladesh Emerging team. However, the match was abandoned after 30 overs when Ruhan Pretorius tested positive for COVID-19. The Netherlands national cricket team (Dutch: Nederlandse cricket team) is the men's team that represents the Kingdom of the Netherlands and is administered by the Royal Dutch Cricket Association. The Ireland cricket team toured Sri Lanka in April 2023 to play two Test matches. This was Ireland's first ever Test series consisting of more than a single match. Irish Cricket Team In Bangladesh In 2022–23
The Ireland men's cricket team toured Bangladesh in March and April 2023 to play one Test, three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. This was the first-ever Test Match played between the two sides, and the first multi-format series the two sides played at senior level. The Test match was the fourth men's Test in Ireland's history, and their first since July 2019. The fixtures were confirmed by Cricket Ireland (CI) in January 2023. Test cricket is a form of first-class cricket played at international level between teams representing full member countries of the International Cricket Council (ICC). A match consists of four innings (two per team) and is scheduled to last for up to five days. In the past, some Test matches had no time limit and were called Timeless Tests. First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. The etymology of "first-class cricket" is unknown, but it was used loosely before it acquired official status in 1895, following a meeting of leading English clubs. The Ireland cricket team toured the West Indies in January 2022 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches and a one-off Twenty20 International (T20I) match. The Ireland cricket team visited the United States in December 2021 to play three One Day International (ODI) and two Twenty20 Internationals (T20I) matches at Central Broward Park in Florida. The 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the seventh ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament, with the matches played in the United Arab Emirates and Oman from 17 October to 14 November 2021. The West Indies were the defending champions, but were eventually eliminated in the Super 12 stage.
