Ben Richards (actor)
Ben Richards (born 27 March 1972 in West Sussex, England) is a British stage and television actor and dancer. Richards studied dance from an early age and later took part in theatre. He gained supporting roles in London's West End and gradually filled the role of the lead. After small roles in two films, Richards began his television career with guest roles in various British serials. In 2004, he joined the regular cast of the ITV drama ''Footballers' Wives'' and after the series ended he resumed theatre work. Richards went on to secure roles in ''Holby City'' and ''The Bill''. While working on the latter, Richards said that he would always pursue his career in theatre. After leaving the series he returned to theatre work. In 2015, he joined the cast of the soap opera ''Hollyoaks'' and finished filming the following year. He then returned to stage roles in the West End. Ben Richards (writer)
Ben Richards (born 1964) is a British screenwriter and novelist. He has been the lead writer on Spooks and is the writer/creator of Party Animals, Outcasts, COBRA and Showtrial. He also created “The Tunnel” from the Scandinavian original of “The Bridge” as well as adapting “The Cuckoo’s Calling”, the first in Robert Galbraith’s “Strike” series for BBC1. Career Before writing novels and TV dramas, he worked for three years as a housing officer in Newham and Islington, London. As a research student at UCL's Department of Geography he spent a year investigating public housing in Chile and on his return to Britain began his first novel "to alleviate the boredom of analysing questionnaires" for his PhD thesis. Richards was a lecturer at the University of Birmingham and at University College London, where he taught development studies, specialising in South America. He is now a full-time writer. Benjamin Wood Richards (November 12, 1797 – July 12, 1851) was an American lawyer and politician from Pennsylvania. Biography Richards was born in Batsto, New Jersey. He practiced law in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for many years and was active in the city's political scene. He was the mayor of Philadelphia in 1829, replacing George M. Dallas, who resigned, and again from 1830 to 1832. After leaving office, Richards resumed the practice of law, in which he continued until his death in Philadelphia in 1851. ''The Running Man'' is a dystopian thriller novel by American writer Stephen King, first published under the pseudonym Richard Bachman in 1982 as a paperback original. It was collected in 1985 in the omnibus '' The Bachman Books''. The novel is set in a dystopian United States during the year 2025, in which the nation's economy is in ruins and world violence is rising. The story follows protagonist Ben Richards as he participates in the reality show ''The Running Man'' in which contestants, allowed to go anywhere in the world, are chased by the general public, who get a huge bounty if they kill him. François-Marie-Benjamin Richard de la Vergne (; 1 March 1819 – 27 January 1908) was a French cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church and served as the Archbishop of Paris. His cause of canonization has commenced and he has the title of Servant of God. Biography Early life and priesthood François-Marie-Benjamin Richard was born in 1819 in Nantes and was one of eleven children. Richard was educated at the seminary of St Sulpice where he studied theology from October 1841. He was ordained to the priesthood on 21 December 1844 by the Archbishop of Paris Denis Auguste Affre. He served as a parish priest from 1845 to 1846 before he was sent to Rome for further studies that spanned from 1846 to 1849.
