Ben McKendry
Ben Millar McKendry (born March 25, 1993) is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder. Club career Early career McKendry played club soccer for the Vancouver Selects and was also a member of the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Residency program before spending his college career at the University of New Mexico. He made a total of 60 appearances for the Lobos and tallied 14 goals and five assists. In 2014, the Lobos went to the College Cup ("Final 4") after McKendry scored the winner against the University of Washington in the "Elite 8". He also played in the Premier Development League for Vancouver Whitecaps FC U-23. Vancouver Whitecaps FC On January 26, 2015, McKendry signed a homegrown contract with Vancouver Whitecaps FC. 2021 Canadian Premier League Season
The 2021 Canadian Premier League season was the third season of the Canadian Premier League, the top level of Canadian soccer. Forge FC were defending champions, after defeating HFX Wanderers FC in the 2020 final. The season was planned to commence on May 22, the Victoria Day weekend, pending the approval of government authorities and the state of the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. However, on May 14, it was announced that the start was to be pushed back to mid-June or early July. On June 5, the league committed to a full 28-match season, but that the season would begin in a single-site bubble at IG Field in Winnipeg, Manitoba, promoted as "The Kickoff", with each team playing eight matches between June 26 and July 24. The Canadian Premier League (CPL or CanPL; french: Première ligue canadienne, links=no) is a professional men's soccer league in Canada. The 2016 Canadian Championship (officially the Amway Canadian Championship for sponsorship reasons) was a soccer tournament hosted and organized by the Canadian Soccer Association.
