2013 CONCACAF U-20 Championship
The 2013 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship was an association football tournament that took place between February 18 and March 3, 2013. The CONCACAF U-20 Championship determined the four CONCACAF teams that would participate at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Qualified teams Four teams qualified through the Central American qualifying tournament and five qualified through the Caribbean qualifying tournament. Note: no titles or runners-up between 1998 and 2007. Bold indicates that the corresponding team was hosting the event. The Caribbean Football Union (CFU) is the representative organization for football associations in the Caribbean. 2013 CONCACAF U-20 Championship Qualifying
The qualifying stage of the 2013 CONCACAF U-20 Championship competition is handled by two regional bodies; the Caribbean Football Union (Caribbean zone) and the UNCAF (Central American zone). Four teams from Central America and five from the Caribbean will qualify to the 2013 CONCACAF U-20 Championship to be played in Mexico. In addition to hosts Mexico, the United States and Canada will automatically qualify for the competition. Caribbean zone The qualification for the Caribbean Nations is organised by the Caribbean Football Union. The Unión Centroamericana de Fútbol (Central American Football Union), more commonly known by the acronym UNCAF, represents the national football teams of Central America: Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. The 2009 CONCACAF U-20 Championship was the biannual CONCACAF youth championship tournament for under-20 national teams. The 2009 edition was held in Trinidad and Tobago. All matches were played at Dwight Yorke Stadium in Bacolet, Tobago and Marvin Lee Stadium in Macoya, Trinidad.
