Ben Kallos
Benjamin J. Kallos (born February 5, 1981) is an American attorney and politician who represented the 5th district of the New York City Council from 2014 to 2021, and now serves in the Executive Office of the President in the United States Digital Service. He is a Democrat. The district includes East Harlem, Midtown, Murray Hill, Roosevelt Island and the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Kallos is also a software developer who ran his office on Agile, and has office hours at green markets. Early life and education Kallos was born in Florida. He attended Rabbi Arthur Schneier Park East Day School. He then attended Bronx High School of Science, SUNY Albany as an undergraduate, and SUNY Buffalo School of Law. New York City Council
The New York City Council is the lawmaking body of New York City. It has 51 members from 51 council districts throughout the five Borough (New York City), boroughs. The council serves as a check against the Mayor of New York City, mayor in a mayor-council government model, the performance of city agencies land use decisions, and legislating on a variety of other issues. It also has sole responsibility for approving the city budget. Micah Kellner
Micah Z. Kellner (born December 5, 1978) is an American politician from the state of New York. A Democrat, he was formerly a member of the New York State Assembly from the 76th district, which includes Manhattan's Upper East Side and Roosevelt Island. Kellner was elected to the Assembly in 2007 and served until 2014, when he did not stand for reelection. Elections for members of the New York City Council were held in 2013. Primary elections were held on September 10, 2013, for all 51 districts of the city council. Many incumbents are termed out of office, while others were defeated in the primary, resulting in the largest turnover of council members since 2001, when 36 new members were nominated and elected to office in the council. Jonathan L. Bing (born March 13, 1970) is an American attorney and politician. He was a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly from the 73rd district. Political career A resident of Manhattan's East Side for two decades, Bing was first elected to the New York State Assembly in November 2002 from the 73rd Assembly District in Manhattan. That district includes the Upper East Side, East Midtown, Sutton Place and Turtle Bay communities.
