Benjamin Bert Carl (Ben) Crabbé (Tienen, 12 November 1962) is a famous Belgian quizmaster, talkshow host and musician. He became well known as drummer in Belgian rockband De Kreuners. Tienen
Tienen (; french: Tirlemont ) is a city and municipality in the province of Flemish Brabant, in Flanders, Belgium. The municipality comprises Tienen itself and the towns of Bost, Goetsenhoven, Hakendover, Kumtich, Oorbeek, Oplinter, Sint-Margriete-Houtem and Vissenaken. De Kreuners
De Kreuners are a Flemish rock band established in 1978. They first received interest when they won the first Humo's Rock Rally in 1978, but didn't get a record contract. They self released their first three singles. They recorded their first single ''Nummer een'' in London. It became their first success. After these three singles, they signed with Warner Bros. and released in 1981 '' 's Nachts kouder dan buiten''. It sold 30,000 copies. By the time of their second album, 1982's ''Er sterft een beer in de taiga'', they were one of Flanders' most successful bands, and the record became gold in two days time. In 1990 they switched to EMI and released their biggest success, the 1990 album ''Hier en nu'', which sold 100,000 copies. The single ''Ik Wil Je'' has sold over 1 million copies (separate and on full CDs and compilations). Their best of ''Het beste van de Kreuners'' is already certified platina before its release date. ''Blokken'' (''Blocks'') is a Belgian quiz show based on the video game ''Tetris''. It is broadcast by één and hosted by Belgian television personality Ben Crabbé. The show is the longest running quiz show on Belgian television, with 22 seasons. On 10 December 2017 the show aired its 5000th episode. Rounds Round 1 Ben asks a series of 8 (originally 10) questions. The first contestant to buzz in with the correct answer picks up 10 points and drops 2 pieces on the game board. When a line on the board is created, it is cleared, and the contestant finishing that line earns a 50-point bonus. Round 2 Each contestant plays separately. The contestant with the most points from the first round temporarily leaves and gets to listen to music. Meanwhile, the other contestant will play the round.
