Bella Smith (born 20 September 2001) is a professional Australian rules footballer who plays for Sydney in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She played for Norwood in the SANFL Women's League (SANFLW) before she was signed to an AFLW contract by Collingwood as an undrafted free agent. Early life and state football Smith was born in the town Cleve in the Eyre Peninsula. She played junior football for Port Pirie. In 2016, she represented South Australia at the Australian Football Under 15 Championship in Maroochydore, wearing the number 20 guernsey, like her father. After this she started playing for Norwood's under-16 side. All together Smith played three seasons for Norwood in the SANFL Women's League (SANFLW). After playing 10 matches in 2019, she decided to focus on playing football. Cleve, South Australia
Cleve is a small agriculturally based town on Central Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. It is 226 km southwest of Port Augusta and 143 km north of Port Lincoln. At the 2006 census, Cleve had a population of 738. The town has its origins in the 1850s, with the town established some twenty years later. Cleve is a hub for farmers and suppliers on the Eyre Peninsula and hosts a field day held each second year to offer the newest in farming equipment and stock. 2019 AFL Women's Under 18 Championships
The 2019 NAB AFL Women's Under-18 Championships was played between May and July 2019, with six teams competing in the main 'Series 2' round-robin tournament and with a further four playing in a two-match one-on-one exhibition as the competition's initial 'Series 1' tournament. Format The competition was opened with 'Series 1', a set of closed competitions between four pairs of teams representing the country's eight largest states and territories. In 'Series 2', teams representing Vic Country, Vic Metro, Queensland and Western Australia were joined by Central and Eastern Allies teams representing teams of the combined regions of Northern Territory and South Australia (Central) as well as New South Wales, ACT and Tasmania (Eastern). Darren Smith (Australian Rules Footballer)
Darren Smith (born 9 February 1965) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Port Adelaide Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) and Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Port Adelaide (1984–1990) Smith arrived in Adelaide from the Eyre Peninsula and after playing under-age football, he broke into the Port Adelaide seniors in 1984. He topped Port's goal-kicking in 1986 and 1987, with 49 and 71 goals respectively, ending the sequence of nine leading goal-kicker awards from Tim Evans. Essendon acquired the centre half forward's services when they picked him up with pick 11 in the 1989 VFL Draft but the move didn't work out and he resumed at Port Adelaide. 2021 AFL Women's Season
The 2021 AFL Women's season was the fifth season of the AFL Women's competition, the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia. The season featured fourteen clubs, ran from 28 January until 17 April, and comprised a 9-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top six clubs. The North Melbourne Football Club, nicknamed the Kangaroos, is a professional Australian rules football club. Stephen Symonds is an Australian rules football coach who is the current head coach of the Collingwood Football Club in the AFL Women's competition (AFLW). Coaching career Norwood Symonds was recruited by Norwood in 2016 to establish its inaugural women’s program. He oversaw one of the leading female football programs in South Australia, leading the team to two grand finals and a premiership in 2017. 2020 AFL Women's Draft
The 2020 AFL Women's draft consists of the various periods when the 14 clubs in the AFL Women's competition can recruit players prior to the competition's 2021 season. The Kensington District Cricket Club ("The Browns") is a semi-professional cricket club in Adelaide, South Australia.
