Belgrade Beer Fest
The Belgrade Beer Fest ( sr, Београдски фестивал пива, Beogradski festival piva) is an annual festival of beer in Belgrade, Serbia. Started in 2003, the festival is held annually over five days each August as a showcase event for various beer producers. In addition to domestic and foreign brews, the festival features live music performances each evening. It has quickly grown in size and popularity: in 2004, it attracted over 75,000 foreign visitors to Belgrade and in 2005 it was the second most visited festival in Serbia with 300,000 visitors. In 2009 it attracted more than 650,000 visitors, and in 2010 the festival attracted about 900,000 visitors. The festival entrance is free. No festival was held in 2020. Night Shift is a Serbian hard rock band from Belgrade. History Underground years (1991–2001) The band was formed in 1991, by the Šćepanović brothers, Milan (guitar, vocals) and Danijel (drums, percussion), with their friend Marko Dacić (bass guitar, vocals). The official date of the band formation was chosen to be 11 January 1991, when the trio had their first live performance. Two years later, in 1993, the band started performing across FR Yugoslavia. Van Gogh (band)
Van Gogh is a Serbian and former Yugoslav rock band from Belgrade. The band was formed in 1986, and released their debut alternative rock-oriented self-titled album during the same year. During the 1990s, the band released a number of well-received albums inspired mostly by the works of the band Ekatarina Velika, and in the 2000s the band adopted more commercial sound, becoming one of the top acts of the Serbian rock scene. E-Play
E-Play are a Serbian alternative rock band from Belgrade. History The band was formed in 1997, initially having several lineup changes before the lineup consisting of Biljana Todorovski (guitar, vocals), Maja Cvetković (bass guitar, vocals) and Jarboli member Nemanja Aćimović (drums) became the default one. The band also had a semi-official band member Sonja Lončar who played an analogue synthesizer until permanently leaving the band in 2002. With a unique musical style influenced by a diverse range of genres, and having a majority of female band members, E-Play quickly got the public's attention, establishing themselves on the Serbian alternative rock scene. As the winners of the 2000 Urban Demo festival, the band got the opportunity to release their eponymous debut album, produced by Goran Živković. Kraljevski Apartman ( sr-cyr, Краљевски Апартман; trans. ''Royal Suite'') is a Serbian heavy metal band from Belgrade. Irish Stew of Sindidun (often referred to as Irish Stew only) is a Serbian Celtic rock band from Belgrade. While initially playing Irish folk music, the band later made a shift towards light punk rock, inspired by Irish folk music and other genres. Negative ( sr, Негатив, Negativ) is a Serbian rock band formed in Belgrade in 1999. Fronted by vocalist Ivana Peters (née Pavlović), the band enjoyed large popularity and was one of the most notable acts of the Serbian rock scene during the 2000s. History 1999-2015 Negative was formed in the spring of 1999, during the NATO bombing of FR Yugoslavia, by Ivana Pavlović (vocals), Nikola Radaković (guitar), Vladimir "Grle" Đurđević (guitar), Milen Zlatanović (bass guitar) and Miloš Bilanović (drums). Cactus Jack (band)
Cactus Jack is a Serbian rock band formed in Pančevo in 1998. Led by guitarist Stevan Birak and fronted by vocalist Vladimir Jezdimirović, the group started as a cover band. Cactus Jack's debut release was the live cover album ''DisCover'' (2002), followed by the live tribute album '' Deep Purple Tribute'' (2003). The band presented themselves with traditional hard rock sound, the releases bringing them attention of the audience and the media.
