Beit Hadfus Street
Beit Hadfus Street ( he, רחוב בית הדפוס, ''Rehov Beit Hadfus'', lit. "Street of the Printing Press"), also spelled Beit Hadefus, is an east–west street in the Givat Shaul industrial zone in western Jerusalem. Name Beit Hadfus Street was constructed in the 1960s and named for the printing houses that established themselves there. Two of Israel's largest book publishing houses which still maintain their headquarters on the street are Keter Publishing House, established in 1958, and Feldheim Publishers, which established its Israel branch in the 1960s. Laser Pages Publishing Ltd., located in the Mercaz Sapir complex, publishes scientific journals. Printing establishments include Old City Press, founded in 1969, and Yaakov Feldheim Ltd. Givat Shaul ( he, גבעת שאול, lit. (''Saul's Hill''); ar, غفعات شاؤول) is a neighborhood in West Jerusalem. The neighborhood is located at the western entrance to the city, east of the neighborhood of Har Nof and north of Kiryat Moshe. Givat Shaul stands 820 meters above sea level. Joseph Gutnick
Joseph Isaac "Diamond Joe" Gutnick (born June 1952; he, יוסף יצחק הכהן גוטניק) is an Australian businessman, mining industry entrepreneur and the former president of the Melbourne Football Club(1996-2001). He is also an ordained Orthodox rabbi, and is well known for his philanthropy in the Jewish world. He declared bankruptcy in July 2016. Early life Gutnick's father, Rabbi Shneur Chaim HaKohen Gutnick, was born in Zolotonosha, Ukraine, in 1921. He studied at the Telshe yeshiva in Lithuania until 1940 when the country was annexed by the Soviet Union and, via the far east, came to Cairns, Australia in 1941. The Tal Institute/ Machon Tal ( he, מכון טל, ''Makhon Tal''), founded in 1999, is the main women's division of the Jerusalem College of Technology. It is located in the Givat Shaul neighborhood of Jerusalem. Over 1,000 students from Israel and around the world study there. The uniqueness of the Machon Tal is that it combines engineering and/or management studies with the study of Torah. It is also the only religious school in Israel to offer an academic degree in Nursing. Berman's Bakery
Berman's Bakery ( he, מאפית ברמן ''Mafiat Berman'') is the oldest commercial bakery in Israel and the second-largest after Angel Bakeries. Founded in 1875 by Kreshe Berman as a cottage industry in Jerusalem's Old City, the family business was the first to open a Jewish store outside the Old City walls and first to build a flour mill in Israel. Berman's Bakery moved to the Mea Shearim neighbourhood of Jerusalem in the late nineteenth century, where it operated as the country's largest through two world wars and the 1948 Arab-Israeli war. In 1965 it moved to its present location in the Givat Shaul neighborhood. Here it employs over 400 workers and services 2,000 stores, supermarkets and institutions countrywide. Colel Chabad ( he, כולל חב"ד) was founded in 1788 and is the oldest continuously operating charity in Israel. The institution runs a network of soup kitchens and food banks, dental and medical clinics, daycare centers, widow and orphan support, and immigrant assistance programs. Yad Eliezer ( he, אגודת יד אליעזר, "Yad Eliezer Association") is a Jewish poverty-relief organization in Israel. It is best known for its monthly distribution of thousands of family food packages, baby formula and baby food packages.
