Beijing–Tianjin Intercity Railway
The Beijing–Tianjin intercity railway () is a Chinese high-speed railway that runs 117 km line (72.7 statute miles) between Beijing and Tianjin. Designed for passenger traffic only, the Chinese government built the line to accommodate trains traveling at a maximum speed of , and currently carries CRH high-speed trains running speeds up to since August 2018. When the line opened on August 1, 2008, it set the record for the fastest conventional train service in the world by top speed, and reduced travel time between the two largest cities in northern China from 70 to 30 minutes. A second phase of construction extended this line from Tianjin to Yujiapu railway station in the Binhai New Area was opened on September 20, 2015. The line is projected to approach operating capacity in the first half of 2016. Fuxing (train)
Fuxing () (also known as the CR series EMU, or as the Fuxing Hao) is a series of high-speed and higher-speed EMU trains operated by China Railway High-speed (CRH) and developed by CRRC, which owns the independent intellectual property rights. Initially known as the China Standardized EMU, development on the project started in 2012, and the design plan was finished in September 2014. The first EMU rolled off the production line on 30 June 2015. The series received its current designation of Fuxing in June 2017, with nicknames such as "Blue/Red Dolphin" (CR400AF) and "Golden Phoenix" (CR400BF) for certain units. It is among the world's fastest conventional high speed trains in regular service, with a operating speed of for the CR400AF and CR400BF models. Tianjin West Railway Station
The Tianjinxi (West) Railway Station () is a high-speed railway station in Tianjin. It is served by the Beijing–Shanghai railway and Jinbao Intercity Railway and by the Beijing–Shanghai high-speed railway. Extension Project In 2008, renovation and expansion works of the station began, in tandem with the construction of the Beijing-Shanghai high speed railway. After the completion of the Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway, and in anticipation for services of the Beijing-Tianjin Intercity Railway, Tianjin West's platforms were increased from 13 to 24. These include 9 high-speed platforms with 17 railway lines. Beijing Sub-Center railway station (), also known as Beijingchengshifuzhongxin railway station, is a railway station in the sub-administrative center area, Tongzhou District, Beijing. This integrated transportation hub (ITH) started construction on to build the largest underground one in Asia opening in late 2024. The total site area of the ITH is , with a floorage of overground. The total investment of the ITH is approximately 42.1 billion Renminbi. Beijing–Binhai Intercity Railway
Beijing–Binhai intercity railway (abbreviated as Jingbin intercity railway), formerly known as the Second Beijing–Tianjin intercity railway, is a high-speed railway connecting the municipalities of Beijing and Tianjin. The western section of the railway is built as part of the Beijing–Tangshan intercity railway. From Baodi railway station onwards, the railway will branch south along new trackage to Binhai West railway station in Binhai New Area of Tianjin. Binhai, officially known as Binhai New Area (), is a sub-provincial district and state-level new area within the jurisdiction of Tianjin Municipality in the People's Republic of China. High-speed Rail In China
The high-speed rail (HSR) network in the People's Republic of China (PRC) is the world's longest and most extensively used – with a total length of by the end of 2021. Binhai railway station (), formerly Yujiapu railway station, is an underground railway station located in Binhai, Tianjin, People's Republic of China. It is the southern terminus of the Beijing–Tianjin intercity railway and serves the Yujiapu Financial District, an area with many new skyscrapers. It is considered one of the four main rail transportation hubs for Tianjin with Tianjin, Tianjin West and Binhai West railway station. It is to be served by the Tianjin Metro lines B1 and Z4.
