Behlim
The Behlim are Muslim people mainly found in North India and Pakistan. They are a sub-caste of the Rajputs. The Behlims trace their origin back to the great saint Sufi Masood Ghazi. Behlim is derived from Urdu word "Baa-Ilm", meaning Knowledgeable. A large number can be found in Gujrat and Rajasthan. History Behlim (Belim) is a sub-caste of Rajput and turk. The word is said to be a corruption of the word ''ba-ilm'', meaning those who are knowledgeable in Arabic. The two distinct communities of Behlim (Belim) are those of Gujarat and Rajasthan who are found mainly in (Mansa-ITADRA) Mehsana and Banaskantha districts, while those of Uttar Pradesh, Fatehpur India, are found mainly in the Doab region of that state. Nagar Muslims
The Nagar Muslims are a Muslim community found in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. They are Muslim converts from the larger Nagar Brahmin community. The Nagar are also known as Nagar Shaikh. Origin The Ahar pargana of Bulandshahr District was held by the Nagar and Nagar artisans prior to the Muslim conquest of the region in the 11th century. During the invasion of Muhammad Ghori, many of them along with their ruler from the Barnwal community converted to Islam in a deal to prevent further bloodshed and to save the remaining community. During those times, there was a common practice in which part of the community would convert to Islam and the invader would grant clemency to the remainder of the community. The Barnwal converts were called Barani and the Nagar converts were called Nagar Muslims. Even today, many prominent Muslims from Western Uttar Pradesh belong to these communities. Muslim Rangrez
Muslim Rangrezz are a community of Muslim Rajputs in North India. Many members of the community migrated to Pakistan after independence and settled in Karachi, Sindh. History and origin The word ''rangrezz'' (رنگریز) means a dyer in the Persian language, Persian language, and the community has been connected with this occupation, but in present circumstances, its members are involved in different trades and other business activities. Many now claim Central Asian descent, and it is quite possible that only some may be of Turkic peoples, Turkic ancestry. They are Pathanism, pathan converts and they may be converts from the Hindu Rajputs, according to their family genealogical records maintained or it is more likely that some members of the community are of foreign origin, who over time have evolved into a community which is now bound by rules of endogamy. Gujarat
