Beetaloo
Beetaloo is the name of a pastoral lease that operates as a cattle station in the Northern Territory, known as Beetaloo Station. It is also the name of an area in the Sturt Plateau, known as the Beetaloo Sub-Basin or Beetaloo Basin, around south-east of Darwin, between Mataranka to the north and Elliott to the south. This area is rich in natural gas, which can be exploited by fracking, which has caused controversy. Amungee Mungee Station is a pastoral lease that operates as a cattle station in the Northern Territory of Australia. Location It is situated about north east of Elliott and south west of Borroloola. The property surrounds the Bullwaddy Conservation Reserve to the north, south and west. Ucharonidge Station
Ucharonidge Station is a pastoral lease that operates as a cattle station in the Northern Territory of Australia. The property is situated approximately east of Elliott and north of Tennant Creek on the Barkly Tableland. It is operated in conjunction with Newcastle Waters and Dungowan Stations. The property shares a boundary with Beetaloo Station to the north, Mungabroom to the east, Helen Springs Station to the south and Tandyidgee to the west. It currently occupies an area of and carries approximately 20,000 head of cattle. Paul and Florence Beebe drew Ucharonidge lease in a land ballot in 1948. The property is situated approximately north of Elliott and west of Borroloola. The property abuts both the Bullwaddy Conservation Reserve and Amungee Mungee Station to the west. Tanumbirini also shares a boundary with Nutwood Downs to the west, Beetaloo Station to the south, Broadmere to the east and the Alawa Aboriginal Land Trust to the north. ''The Examiner'' is the daily newspaper of the city of Launceston and north-eastern Tasmania, Australia. Overview ''The Examiner'' was first published on 12 March 1842, founded by James Aikenhead. McArthur Basin
The McArthur Basin is a large intracratonic sedimentary basin in northern Australia, with an exposed area of about 180,000 km2. Most of it lies within the northeastern Northern Territory, but extends over the border into the state of Queensland. The basin contains thick (locally up to 12 km) marine and non-marine sedimentary rocks which were deposited from the late Paleoproterozoic to the early Mesoproterozoic (1800-1430 Ma). Anthony Lagoon is a cattle station on the Barkly Tableland in the Northern Territory, Australia. It is situated approximately east of Elliott and south of Borroloola. Eva Downs is run as an outstation of Anthony Lagoon and employs a separate manager, but is part of the same operation. Tight Gas
Tight gas is natural gas produced from reservoir rocks with such low permeability that massive hydraulic fracturing is necessary to produce the well at economic rates. This natural gas is trapped within rocks with very low permeability, in other words, they are sealed in very impermeable and hard rocks, making their formation "tight". These impermeable reservoirs which produce dry natural gas are also called "Tight Sand". Tight gas reservoirs are generally defined as having less than 0.1 milli darcy (mD) matrix permeability and less than ten percent matrix porosity.
