Beder Meye Josna
''Beder Meye Josna'' () is a 1989 Bangladeshi film directed by Tojammel Haque Bokul. The film stars Ilias Kanchan and Anju Ghosh in the lead roles. This story was taken from a very old rural Bengali play of the same name. The tune of the title song, "Beder meye Jyotsna amay katha diyeche," was adopted from the song "Ek pardesi mera dil le gaya" from the film ''Phagun'' (1958). Plot In Bengal, Bede means a caste or group of people who make their living by catching snakes and entertaining people by making the snakes dance to the tune of there flutes. Josna is a girl from this community. One day a poisonous snake bites the foot of a local prince. A bede is called to cure the prince. He sees the wound and declares that only Josna can extract the poison from the prince's blood. The king calls Josna and asks her to save his son, in exchange for which he agrees to give her anything she wants. Josna cures the prince but becomes ill in the process. Abbas Ullah Shikder ( – 18 January 2020) was a Bangladeshi producer, actor and politician. He was the owner of Ananda TV and Anandamela Chalachitro. He was involved with the politics of the Bangladesh Awami League. Biography Shikder was the producer of ''Beder Meye Josna''. This film is the highest grossing Bangladeshi film. He also produced films like ''Moner Majhe Tumi'', ''Molla Barir Bou'' and '' Ji Hujur''. Symon Sadik and Sara Zerin made their acting career debut with '' Ji Hujur''. Besides producing he acted in films too. Shikder died on 18 January 2020 at the age of 65. Sabina Yasmin
Sabina Yasmin (born 4 September 1953) is a Bangladeshi singer. She is best known as a playback singer in Bengali cinema. She has won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer a record 14 times. She has recorded more than 1,500 songs for films and over 10,000 songs in total. Yasmin was awarded Ekushey Padak in 1984 and Independence Day Award in 1996 by the Government of Bangladesh. Early life Yasmin was born on 4 September 1953. Her father, Lutfar Rahman, worked in Provincial Civil Service of British Raj and her mother, Begum Mouluda Khatun, was a vocal artist who took lessons from the musician Ustaad Kader Baksh. Bangladesh Film Development Corporation or BFDC, is a government owned and operated corporation in Tejgaon, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Nuzhat Yeasmin is the managing director of the corporation. Abu Taher (1 November 1954 – 14 July 1999) was a Bangladeshi music composer. Mujib Pardeshi is a folk musician, film actor, and music director from Bangladesh. Biography Pardeshi was born in Betka village in what is now Tongibari Upazila of Munshiganj District. He completed a bachelor's degree in English at Dhaka University. He started his career as a tabla player before establishing himself as a singer and rising to eminence in the 1980s.
