Beau Bennett
Beau Daniel Bennett (born November 27, 1991) is an American former professional ice hockey right winger. He last played with the Tucson Roadrunners of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract with the Arizona Coyotes of the National Hockey League (NHL). Bennett attended the University of Denver until 2012. He was drafted into the National Hockey League (NHL) by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round, 20th overall, in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Bennett is the highest-drafted Californian born-and-trained player in NHL history and became the first California born-and-trained player to win the Stanley Cup when he won it as a member of the Penguins in 2016. However, his name was not engraved on the Cup due to not meeting NHL requirements for number of games played during the season. The Penticton Vees are a junior "A" ice hockey team from Penticton, British Columbia, Canada. They are a part of the British Columbia Hockey League. The junior Vees were founded in 1961, sharing the name of the senior hockey team, the Penticton Vees. The Minnesota State Mavericks men's ice hockey team is an NCAA Division I college ice hockey program that represents Minnesota State University, Mankato. The Vernon Vipers are a junior "A" ice hockey team based in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada. They are members of the Interior Conference of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL). Mark Zengerle
Mark Zengerle (born May 12, 1989) is an American professional ice hockey center currently playing for the Straubing Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Playing career Junior Zengerle played for the Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the BCHL from 2008 to 2010. During the 2008–09 season, Zengerle recorded 31 goals and 62 assists in 54 games. His 93 points ranked second in the league. Following his outstanding season, he was named the BCHL's Interior Conference MVP. The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) is an association of Canadian junior A ice hockey leagues and teams and was formed in November 1993, emerging from the Canada West Association of Junior 'A' Hockey. World Junior A Challenge
The World Junior A Challenge (WJAC) is an annual under-20 international ice hockey tournament sponsored by Hockey Canada, the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL), and the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The tournament showcases Junior A level players and is modeled after the IIHF World U20 Championships, which displays the best of all junior-aged hockey players. Tri-City Storm
The Tri-City Storm is a Tier I junior ice hockey team based in Kearney, Nebraska, that plays in the Western Conference of the United States Hockey League (USHL). Its name refers to the three central Nebraskan cities of Kearney, Hastings, and Grand Island. History Founding under Ted Baer On May 15, 1999, the USHL unanimously voted to allow then Omaha Lancers' owner, Ted Baer, to place a new team in Kearney, Nebraska, for the 2000–01 season.
