Beatrice Benvenuti
Maria Beatrice Benvenuti (born 1993) is an Italian rugby union referee. Benvenuti has refereed at the 2016 Olympic Games, the Women's Rugby World Cup in 2014 and 2017 and the Women's Six Nations Championship in 2018 and 2019. She has also refereed at the 2018 Women's Rugby World Cup Sevens and at the 2018 USA Women's Sevens. In December 2016, she was tackled during an Italian League match by Argentinian player Bruno Doglioli. Benvenuti gave the player a yellow card and finished refereeing the match but was later taken to hospital where she was diagnosed with having whiplash. 2018 USA Women's Sevens
The 2018 USA Women's Sevens was the first tournament of the 2018–19 World Rugby Women's Sevens Series. It was played on 20–21 October 2018 at Infinity Park in Glendale, Colorado, the first time the USA Women's Sevens was held at the venue. Format The teams were drawn into three pools of four teams each. Each team played every other team in their pool once. The top two teams from each pool advanced to the Cup/Plate brackets while the top 2 third place teams also competed in the Cup/Plate. The other teams from each group played-off for the Challenge Trophy. Whiplash is a non-medical term describing a range of injuries to the neck caused by or related to a sudden distortion of the neck associated with extension, although the exact injury mechanisms remain unknown. The term "whiplash" is a colloquialism.
