Beans (band)
Beans (also spelled as I Beans) are an Italian pop band, mainly successful in the seventies. Career The group formed in 1969 in Catania, Sicily. Under the production of singer-songwriter Gianni Bella, they got a large success with their cover of the 1918 Armando Gill's classic "Come Pioveva", which peaked at the fourth place on the Italian hit parade. Following a number of minor hits, in 1978 the group entered the main competition at the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Soli". The song named a RAI variety show, hosted by Patrizia Lazzari and Laura Trotter and with the participation of the same group. Pop music is a genre of popular music that originated in its modern form during the mid-1950s in the United States and the United Kingdom. Gianni Bella
Giovanni Bella, best known as Gianni Bella (born 14 March 1946), is an Italian composer and singer-songwriter. Background Born in Catania, Bella started his career as composer for his sister, singer Marcella Bella authoring several hits with lyricist Giancarlo Bigazzi. In the seventies he debuted as a singer himself, scoring his first major success in 1974 with the song "Più ci penso", which ranked second in the Italian hit parade. In 1976 he topped the hit parade and won the Festivalbar contest with the song "Non si può morire dentro", originally planned to be sung by her sister. In 1981 he entered the competition at the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Questo amore non si tocca"; he returned in Sanremo five more times between 1986 and 2007, three times in couple with her sister Marcella. Michele Testa (23 July 1877 – 1 January 1945), best known as Armando Gill, was an Italian singer, songwriter, actor, playwright and poet. Compagnia Generale del Disco (CGD) was an Italian record label. History CGD was founded in 1948 by singer Teddy Reno. At that time it was established in Milan in Via Passarella 4. As artistic director Reno called fellow musician Lelio Luttazzi, who replaced David Matalon as Head of International Production in 1956. By collaborating with some publishers such as Suvini-Zerboni and Messaggerie Musicali, CGD was able to hire many artists who roused much success as Giorgio Consolini, Betty Curtis and Johnny Dorelli.
