Bayside High School (Virginia)
Bayside High School is a public high school located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. It is in Virginia Beach City Public Schools. The school is one of several magnet programs in Virginia Beach. Its feature is the Health Sciences Academy; students throughout the city interested in a health sciences education can apply. The school has a written agreement with Eastern Virginia Medical School regarding preferential admissions for Academy graduates. Bayside is in the top three in Standards of Learning (SOL) scores within the school district. Bayside High School (Palm Bay, Florida)
Bayside High School is a public high school located in Palm Bay, Florida, United States. It is part of the Brevard County School District. History Bayside was opened in August 1998 with grades 9 and 10. Grade 11 was added in 1999, grade 12 in 2000. The first graduation was held in May 2001. Upon its construction, Bayside was the first new high school campus built in the Brevard County School District in more than a quarter century—since Astronaut High School in Titusville opened in 1972. On May 12, 2008, the school was evacuated, threatened by a citywide fire. The school was closed the following day along with other schools in the Palm Bay area. Performance Bayside is one of the highest performing schools in the New York City Department of Education. Bayside High School is a public alternative secondary school in Clearwater, Florida, United States. The school is the first long-term alternative school in the Pinellas County School District and is a member of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. History In 1997, Pinellas County School Board members committed to building an alternative high school. Locating the campus on property already owned by the School Board near 58 St N and 150 Ave N, in Clearwater, was proposed, but residents complained about having the at-risk students in their neighborhood. The School Board purchased the current site for $2,400,000 after voters approved a referendum in November, 2002, and work began during Fall, 2003. The school opened in the Fall semester of 2004. Bayside Secondary School is a high school in Quinte West, Ontario, Canada and is part of the Hastings & Prince Edward District School Board. It is one of the largest high schools by area in North America. Bayside offers grades 7-12 and is the Hastings & Prince Edward District School Board site for secondary French Immersion. Other specialty programs include International Studies and Communication Technology.
