Battlecross
Battlecross was an American heavy metal band from Canton, Michigan. The band has described their sound as "Blue Collar Thrash Metal". To date, they have released three albums through their label, Metal Blade Records. History The band was founded in 2003 by Tony Asta and Hiran Deraniyagala in Canton, MI, where the childhood best friends and neighbors formed the earliest beginnings of Battlecross while attending Salem High School. Various members came and went. In 2006, vocalist Marshall Wood was hired who brought a new level of aggression ultimately altering the vocal direction of the band. In 2007, drummer Mike Kreger was hired. In 2008 and 2010 respectively, bassist Don Slater and singer Kyle "Gumby" Gunther joined the band, after Marshall's departure for family reasons. Together, they played local shows around Detroit and in the Midwest and opened for such acts as Dying Fetus, GWAR, DevilDriver, The Absence, Vital Remains, and The Faceless. Alex Bent
Alex Bent (born January 31, 1993) is an American musician best known as the drummer for heavy metal bands Trivium, Arkaik and Dragonlord. Bent is a former drummer for Battlecross and Brain Drill. Bent has also toured with Decrepit Birth and Testament. Early life Bent was born January 31, 1993, in Oakland, California. When Bent turned 11 years of age, he asked his father to assemble his old drum kit. After teaching himself how to perform percussion for just over one year, he competed in drum competitions and auditioned for various musical ensembles. When Bent turned 15, he performed with Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Modesto Junior College Jazz Band in addition to other local musical groups. Shannon Lucas
Shannon Lucas (born September 27, 1983) is an American Heavy metal music, heavy metal drummer from Staunton, Virginia. He is best known as the former drummer for death metal band The Black Dahlia Murder (band), The Black Dahlia Murder and metalcore band All That Remains (band), All That Remains. Musical career Lucas began drumming at the age of 14 while also covering Slayer songs on guitar; he later joined percussion classes in high school. Kevin Talley
Kevin Talley (born May 21, 1979) is an American heavy metal drummer for Sylencer and Feared. He was part of Dying Fetus, Misery Index, Six Feet Under, Nothnegal, Chimaira, Suffocation and Dååth, and toured with Battlecross in 2013. History Talley filled in on drums with The Black Dahlia Murder after their touring drummer, Pierre Langlois, was denied entry into the States by his home country of Canada. He was a session drummer on Soils of Fate's 2003 release ''Crime Syndicate''. He filled in with The Red Chord for their 2006 tour, and was also filling in with Hate Eternal for their 2006 North American tour, after Derek Roddy left the band due to personal reasons. The Orion Music + More was a touring music festival created by American thrash metal/ heavy metal band Metallica. On February 7, 2012, the band announced plans to launch the festival, which took place at Bader Field in Atlantic City on June 23 and 24, 2012. All That Remains is an American heavy metal band from Springfield, Massachusetts, formed in 1998.
