Batang Berjuntai
Bestari Jaya ''(formerly Batang Berjuntai)'' is a town and a mukim in Kuala Selangor District, Selangor, Malaysia. It is 40 km NW from Kuala Lumpur. History Old name "Batang Berjuntai" "Batang Berjuntai" means a dangling branch in Malay. There used to be a railway line connecting Batang Berjuntai with Batu Arang and onwards to the mainline of Malayan Railways at Kuang. The line between the town and Batu Arang was dismantled by the Japanese during World War II and never reconstructed. New name "Bestari Jaya" In 2007 the name Batang Berjuntai was renamed "Bestari Jaya" despite local resistance, as someone in authority rather mistakenly felt that "batang berjuntai" had phallic connotations (''batang'' is Malay slang for "penis", and ''berjuntai'' translate directly as "dangle"). Bandaraya LRT station is an elevated rapid transit station in central Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The station is on the common route shared by the Ampang Line and Sri Petaling Line (originally known as STAR Line). The station was opened on 16 December 1996, as part of the first phase of the STAR system's opening, along with 13 adjoining stations along the Sultan Ismail to Ampang route. The station stands between the eastern banks of the Gombak River and an intersection between Jalan Raja Laut, a major thoroughfare along the Gombak River, and Jalan Isfahan. Chow Kit Monorail Station
Chow Kit Monorail station is a Malaysian elevated monorail train station that serves as a part of the Kuala Lumpur Monorail (KL Monorail), located in Kuala Lumpur and opened alongside the rest of the train service on August 31, 2003. The station, the second last KL Monorail station before the Titiwangsa terminal station, is located and named after the district of Chow Kit, over the meeting point of the southern ends of Jalan Pahang and Jalan Ipoh, and the northern end of Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman. The monorail line continues down Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman until the Sultan Ismail turnoff, turning toward the east. Sentul is a suburb located within the northern part of the city centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in the constituency of Batu. The vicinity of Sentul is sandwiched between Segambut and Titiwangsa. History Sentul is a former railway hub famous for its old-world charm, historical temples and prewar shops. During World War II, Sentul was one of the last towns in Kuala Lumpur that was heavily bombed by the British B-29 planes without any warning on 19 February 1945. The bomb targets were two rail complexes managed by Marai Tetsudo, the Japanese name for the former Federated Malay States Railway (FMSR). The destruction of the central workshop signified the end of the Japanese Occupation in Malaya. Kepong Sentral Komuter Station
The Kepong Sentral Komuter station is a KTM Komuter train station located in Kepong, Petaling District, Selangor, Malaysia. The station is the newest addition to the KTM Komuter system, which opened on 1 July 2006. Situated just beside this station is the Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2). Starting on 1 December 2008, it became one of the stations of the Sentral KL-Ipoh-Sentral KL intercity route. However, it was ceased in August 2010 and replaced by the KTM ETS services. Masjid Jamek LRT station is a rapid transit station in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is the interchange station between two of Rapid KL's light rapid transit (LRT) systems, namely the LRT Ampang and Sri Petaling Lines and the LRT Kelana Jaya Line. The station is one of the only two stations that integrate the LRT lines, the other being Putra Heights station.
