Sudanese Arabic
Sudanese Arabic, also referred to as the Sudanese dialect (), Colloquial Sudanese () or locally as Common Sudanese () refers to the various related varieties of Arabic spoken in Sudan as well as parts of Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Chad. Sudanese Arabic has also influenced a number of Arabic-based pidgins and creoles, including Juba Arabic, widely used in South Sudan, as well as Ki-Nubi, spoken by the Nubi communities of Kenya and Uganda. Sudanese Arabic is highly diverse. Famed Sudanese linguist Awn ash-Sharif Gasim noted that "it is difficult to speak of a 'Sudanese colloquial language' in general, simply because there is not a single dialect used simultaneously in all the regions where Arabic is the mother tongue. Every region, and almost every tribe, has its own brand of Arabic." However, Gasim broadly distinguishes between the varieties spoken by sedentary groups along the Nile (such as the Ja'aliyyin) and pastoralist groups (such as the Baggara groups of west Sudan) ...

Basta! (coalition)
Basta () was a right-wing populist party coalition in Portugal, formed by the political party Chega, the People's Monarchist Party, and the Citizenship and Christian Democracy party. The Democracy 21 movement was also a part of the coalition on the European elections, but decided to quit shortly after because of the proposal of the Citizenship and Christian Democracy party to revoke the law permitting abortion. The coalition was formed in order to participate in the 2019 European elections, joining several formations from the Portuguese political right. The coalition embodies the wide range of ideologies advocated by the different parties that make it up: the conservatism defended by all, the populism and nationalism of the Chega party, the monarchism of the People's Monarchist Party, the christian democracy of the Citizenship and Christian Democracy party and the economic liberalism defended by the Democracy 21 political movement. ¡Ya Basta!
is a phrase in Spanish roughly approximate to "Enough is enough!" in British English or "Enough already!" in US English. It has been adopted by several Latin American insurgent groups as an expression of affront towards issues that sparked the original dissent. Its adoption by the EZLN in Mexico as the movement's motto is exemplary of its popularity and ability to rally diverse ideologies under a common goal. Linguistics and etymology Grammatically, there is little difference between and , and both are correct. The phrase, or its Italian equivalent, may be the source of the English nautical word "Avast", which means "Stop, cease or desist from whatever is being done". (See also A.T.L. Covey-Crump) Examples of usage According to Thomas Oleson, there is a different website from the Ya Basta! Italian solidarity group. Ya Basta, which Justin Paulson launched in March 1994, was one of the first websites to feature EZLN content. "Ya Basta Association" was the name of a major anti-ca ...

Basta (herbicide)
Glufosinate (also known as phosphinothricin and often sold as an ammonium salt) is a naturally occurring broad-spectrum herbicide produced by several species of ''Streptomyces'' soil bacteria. Glufosinate is a non-selective, contact herbicide, with some systemic action. Plants may also metabolize bialaphos, another naturally occurring herbicide, directly into glufosinate. The compound irreversibly inhibits glutamine synthetase, an enzyme necessary for the production of glutamine and for ammonia detoxification, giving it antibacterial, antifungal and herbicidal properties. Application of glufosinate to plants leads to reduced glutamine and elevated ammonia levels in tissues, halting photosynthesis and resulting in plant death. Discovery In the 1960s and early 1970s, scientists at University of Tübingen and at the Meiji Seika Kaisha Company independently discovered that species of ''Streptomyces'' bacteria produce a tripeptide they called bialaphos that inhibits bacteria; it cons ...

Basta (TV Series)
''Basta'' was a Flemish television show aired in January and February 2011 on the Belgian channel Eén. The show was hosted by Neveneffecten and produced by Woestijnvis. It was a mix between comedy, current affairs and crime. The show tried to give some of one's own medicine. Although the show was a blockbuster, a second season was not made as Neveneffecten thought their approach would most probably not work anymore as they became famous. Subjects Recharge money from bank In 2008 many Belgian banks got money from the government following the financial crisis of 2007–2008. This was however paid with tax money. ''Basta'' contacted all those banks and requested if they could recharge their money, which was estimated at 250 euros for each Belgian inhabitant. No bank did pay them, so ''Basta'' decided to take another approach: they stole staplers, hole punchers etc. from the desks. Later, ''Basta'' founded a new bank: Fides Bank with a limited amount of money (only €150). Al ...

Inkheart Series
The ''Inkheart'' series is a succession of four fantasy novels written by German author Cornelia Funke, comprising ''Inkheart'' (2003), ''Inkspell'' (2005), ''Inkdeath'' (2007), and ''The Colour of Revenge'' (2023). The books chronicle the adventures of teen Meggie Folchart whose life changes dramatically when she realizes that she and her father, a bookbinder named Mo, have the unusual ability to bring characters from books into the real world when reading aloud. Mostly set in Northern Italy and the parallel world of the fictional ''Inkheart'' book, the central story arc concerns the magic of books, their characters and creatures, and the art of reading. Originally released in German-speaking Europe, the English translation of the third book, entitled ''Inkdeath'', by Anthea Bell was released in October 2008. In 2004, Funke sold the film rights to all three books to New Line Cinema; thus far, the first book has been made into a motion picture, which was released in December 200 ...
