Basement Boys
The Basement Boys is an American house music production team that was formed in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The founding members are Jay Steinhour, Teddy Douglas and Thommy Davis. Biography The Basement Boys had all previous experience as DJs in the Mid-Atlantic states and they began producing together in 1986. In 1988, the group scored a hit single together with "Love Don't Live Here Anymore," which hit No. 25 on the U.S. Dance Club Play and No. 31 on the Maxi-Singles charts. In 1989, Davis left the group and Sean "DJ Spen" Spencer (one of the writers on the Milli Vanilli hit "Girl You Know It's True") joined. Karizma was also a member of the group during the mid-to-late 1990s. DJ Spen and Karizma went on to become world renowned dance music DJs/producers and Spencer is head of independent record label and production company Quantize Recordings. Maryland
Maryland ( ) is a state in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Karizma (musician)
Karizma (born Christopher Clayton on March 28, 1970, in Baltimore, Maryland) is an American electronic musician, DJ and record producer, known for his wide variety of music production in deep house, deep techno, hip hop, jazz, and broken beat. Early career Karizma grew up in Baltimore, United States, and he began to DJ for fashion shows and college parties at age of 13. Karizma and DJ Spen worked on a music production project with a record label, Jasper Street Company, and joined the house-music production group the Basement Boys, and worked on remixes for musicians such as Mary J. Blige, Bob Sinclar, and Lenny Kravitz. In October 1999, Karizma released his first solo work, "The Power E.P." from Black Vinyl Records, while he belong to the Basement Boys. ''Storyteller'' is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Crystal Waters, released on May 17, 1994, by Mercury Records. ''One Woman's Insanity'' is the second album by dance singer-songwriter Ultra Naté. The record, which incorporated R&B influences as well as Naté's signature House music, was released on October 5, 1993, by Warner Bros. Records. Christophe Le Friant (; born 10 May 1969), better known by his stage name Bob Sinclar (), is a French record producer, DJ and remixer. He is the owner of the record label Yellow Productions. Musical career A native of Paris, Le Friant began DJing in the 1980s under the name Chris the French Kiss. During this time he was more influenced by hip hop and jazz music and created music projects such as The Mighty Bop and Reminiscence Quartet, the latter with an ensemble of musicians and where Le Friant used the alias Desmond K.
