''Based Boys'' is the debut album by Bay Area rap group The Pack. The album was released on October 30, 2007, by Jive Records. Music videos The first video was shot for "In My Car" in Los Angeles by famed director Dale "Rage" Resteghini. The second video was shot on December 13, 2007, in New York for "I Look Good". Other videos off the album include music videos shot for "Vans" and "I'm Shinin'" shot previously to help promote Skateboards 2 Scrapers EP. A low budget music video was also shot for "Booty Bounce Bopper". Sales Even though their first EP ''Skateboards 2 Scrapers'' received fairly good sale reception, their debut album ''Based Boys'' failed to do so. The album sold a disappointing 2,300 copies in its first week according to Soundscan and Billboard. The Pack (group)
The Pack was a hip hop group formed in Berkeley, California in 2004. The group consisted of Lil B (Brandon McCartney), Young L (Lloyd Omadhebo), Stunnaman (Keith Jenkins), and Lil Uno (Damonte Johnson). They all recorded together for over a year at Young L's home studio where they released their first two mixtapes '' Wolfpack Muzik Vol. 1'' and '' Wolfpack Muzik Vol. 2''. The Pack expanded their fanbase and eventually got signed to a major label, when Too Short signed The Pack to his Jive Records-distributed label Up All Nite Records. The Pack is usually known for their skateboard raps and the sexually explicit content of many of their songs. The group is best known for the track "Vans". The Pack has also collaborated with musicians such as Soulja Boy, Wiz Khalifa, Dev, and The Cataracs. Dale Anthony Resteghini (born August 28, 1968), better known as Rage, is a music video and film director and record producer. Rage has helmed hundreds of videos for well-known acts from the global superstars to the emerging acts to the niche branded. A visually prolific and explosively versatile director, his work ranges from hardcore, heavy metal, rock, punk to hip hop and rap and gangsta rap. Rage is the founder of Raging Nation with Kim Resteghini, his wife and partner. Vans is an American manufacturer of skateboarding shoes and related apparel, established in Anaheim, California, and owned by VF Corporation. The company also sponsors surf, snowboarding, BMX, and motocross teams. From 1996 to 2019, the company was the primary sponsor of the annual Warped Tour music festival.
