Baruni is a Croatian pop band originating from Zagreb. The group was formed in 1991. The name "Baruni" ( Croatian for "Barons") was given to them by Tomislav Ivčić. The group was previously signed to Croatia Records, but is currently working with rival Hit Records. They release their albums through in Bosnia through the label Hayat Production. Croatian Radio Festival
The Croatian Radio Festival ( Croatian: Hrvatski Radijski Festival, abbreviated as HRF) was a music festival held annually in Croatia from 1997 to 2009. The festival was first held in 1997 in Vodice. It remained in Vodice until 2002, when it was held in Šibenik. After two years in Šibenik, Rijeka and Požega were co-hosts for the 2004 festival. In 2005 and 2006 it was held in Trogir, and in 2007 it was held in Hvar. In 2008 and 2009 it was held in Opatija. The festival was cancelled in 2010 due to financial problems and has been never organised sinc The festival gave out several awards, its highest being the Grand Prix. Croatian (; ' ) is the standardized variety of the Serbo-Croatian pluricentric language used by Croats, principally in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Serbian province of Vojvodina, and other neighboring countries. Tomislav Ivčić
Tomislav Ivčić (6 January 1953 – 4 March 1993) was a Croatian pop singer, songwriter and politician. He died in a car accident and is buried in Zagreb at the Mirogoj Cemetery. A native of Zadar, Tomislav Ivčić became one of the most popular singers and songwriters during his appearances on 1970s pop music festivals. His specialty was pop music inspired by Dalmatian folklore. One of his early hits included the country-rock influenced single "Nemam za kavu" from 1979. Ivčić also wrote and performed "Večeras je naša fešta", a song that would become a semi-official anthem of Dalmatia, often sung and performed whenever a Dalmatian athlete or sports team won a title or important game. He has written over two hundred songs and released twenty three albums during his career.
