Augusto Barros Ferreira, better known as Augusto Barros, and simply Barros, is a Portuguese painter born on August 7, 1929, in Lisbon (Portugal), and dead on February 10, 1998, in Lisbon. Abstractionist painter, and emblematic figure of the Parisian district of Saint-Germain-des-Prés of the 1970s. Guillermo Barros Schelotto (; born 4 May 1973) is an Argentine football manager and former forward who currently manages the Paraguay national team. Barros Schelotto played 16 years of his professional career in the Argentine Primera División (6 with Gimnasia La Plata and 10 with Boca Juniors). With these two teams, he won a total 17 official titles (one with Gimnasia and 16 with Boca). Antônio Carlos de Mariz e Barros (7 March 1835 – 28 March 1866) was a Brazilian soldier, combatant in the Uruguayan Campaign and in the Paraguayan War. Mariz e Barros was the son of chief of squad Joaquim José Inácio, the viscount of Inhaúma, and his wife, Maria José de Mariz Sarmento. He studied at the Brazilian Navy Academy, having reached the rank of first lieutenant. Mariz e Barros temporarily commanded the yacht ''Paraibano'', and effectively the gunboat ''Campista'' and the corvettes ''Belmonte'', ''Recife'', and the battleship ''Tamandaré'', gaining prominence on the battlefield during the Uruguay Campaign, where he carried out a successful raid on Paysandú and another against the Sevastopol fort. Alexandre Barros (born October 18, 1970) is a Brazilian former professional motorcycle road racer who is a 7-time 500cc/MotoGP race winner and also a race winner in Superbike World Championship. After a long Grand Prix career, in 2006 he moved to the Superbike World Championship. He returned to MotoGP for 2007, but retired by the end of the season.
