Barron is a city in Barron County (of which it is the county seat), in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 3,423 at the 2010 census. The city is surrounded by the Town of Barron. History Originally named Quaderer's Camp after local lumber foreman John Quaderer, the name was changed to Barron in honor of Henry D.
