Barrettinelli Di Fuori Lighthouse
Barrettinelli di Fuori Lighthouse ( it, Faro di Barrettinelli di Fuori) is a light situated on the granitic Barrettinelli rocks, long and wide, in the Maddalena archipelago at east of ''Isola Santa Maria'' and north of Isola Corcelli. Description The first lighthouse was built by Regia Marina in 1936, during World War II went destroyed; in 1960 was built a skeletal tower high and the following year was substituted by the current lighthouse in stone. The tower, high, is painted black with an horizontal central red band; the light is powered by a solar unit installed in 1985. The lantern, which mounts a Type TD 375 optics with a Focal length of 187,5mm, is positioned at above sea level and emits two white flashes in a 10 seconds period visible up to a distance of . The lighthouse is completely automated and managed by the Marina Militare with the identification code number 1010 E.F. Maddalena Archipelago
The Maddalena Archipelago is a group of islands in the Strait of Bonifacio between Corsica (France) and Sardinia (Italy). The whole archipelago makes the territory of the ''La Maddalena'' comune in Sardinia. Geography The archipelago consists of seven main islands and numerous small islets. The largest one is the island of La Maddalena ( it, Isola La Maddalena), with a homonymous town, which is the largest settlement in the archipelago. The focal length of an optical system is a measure of how strongly the system converges or diverges light; it is the inverse of the system's optical power.
