Barlas Erinç
Barlas Erinç is a Turkish musician, rock singer and song writer. He was born in Ankara, Turkey. He studied Business Administration and is a graduate of Gazi University in Ankara. His first band AXE was a heavy metal band performing in Ankara in the 80s. Their concerts in Ankara and in Istanbul were huge success. He was not only the lead singer of the band but also writing the music and the lyrics. He was writing in English in the early years but then started writing in Turkish too. Writing Turkish rock songs and not in an Anatolian-folk way but rather in a western style was something quite new in those days when most of his peers were playing cover songs at gigs. Barlas Erinç not only inspired many of his peers who now became recognized Pop-Rock musicians in Turkey but wrote songs for them. ''Melek'' (''Angel'') is the fifth studio album by Turkish singer Candan Erçetin. It was released on 17 June 2004 by Pasaj Müzik. It was Erçetin's first album released by this music company. The preparations for ''Melek'' began immediately after the release of '' Neden'' in May 2002. It is a pop album with six of its songs being written by Erçetin herself. The album was produced by Rıza Erekli. ''Melek'' contains two classical Turkish songs, previously performed by Zeki Müren. It consists of 14 songs in total, and musician Ceza was featured on the eighth song "Şehir". The album's lead single "Melek", was released together with a music video. The second music video was made for the song "Meğer". Both of these videos were directed by the album's art director Bozkurt Bayer. Candan Erçetin (; born 10 February 1961) is a Turkish people, Turkish singer-songwriter. Over the twenty five years of her singing career, she has been recognized for preparing and singing songs about human life. Despite the fact that she made her albums without much publicity, her work influenced other artists. Erçetin has released many music videos with different themes. Because her family originate from the Balkans, she has often used elements of Balkan music in her songs and works. In addition to Turkish, she has written songs in French and Greek. Fazlı Teoman Yakupoğlu (born 20 November 1967) is a Turkish acoustic rock singer and songwriter. His biggest hits include ''Paramparça'', ''Senden Önce Senden Sonra'', ''17'' and ''Papatya''. On ''Papatya'', Turkish female rock singer Özlem Tekin features as backing vocals. Şebnem Ferah has also featured on a couple of Teoman's tracks. Özlem Tekin (born November 18, 1971) is a Turkish singer and occasional actress, primarily known for her music.
