Barbro Martinsson
Barbro Martinsson (born 16 August 1935) is a former Swedish cross-country skier who competed during the 1960s. Born in Valbo, she won two silver medals in the 3 × 5 km relay at the 1964 Winter Olympics and the 1968 Winter Olympics. Martinsson finished fourth in the 1968 Winter Olympics in both 5 km and 10 km. She also won two medals in the 3 × 5 km relay at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships with a silver in 1962 and a bronze in 1966. Martinsson also won the 10 km event at the Holmenkollen ski festival The Holmenkollen Ski Festival ( no, Holmenkollen skifestival or ) is a traditional annual Nordic skiing event in Holmenkollen, Oslo, Norway. Gästrikland
Gästrikland () is a historical province or ''landskap'' on the eastern coast of Sweden. It borders Uppland, Västmanland, Dalarna, Hälsingland and the Gulf of Bothnia. Gästrikland is the southernmost of the Norrland provinces. Other forms of the name used are ''Gestricia'' and ''Gastrikland''. Before 1900, the spelling was officially ''Gestrikland'' in Swedish. Administration The traditional provinces of Sweden serve no administrative or political purposes, but are historical and cultural entities. In the case of Gästrikland the province constitutes the southern part of the administrative county, ''län'', Gävleborg County. Heraldry Arms granted in 1560. The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 1966 took place 17–27 February 1966 in Oslo, Norway at the Holmenkollen ski arena. This was the third time the Norwegian capital hosted this event having done so in 1930 and at the 1952 Winter Olympics. The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 1962 took place February 18–25, 1962 in Zakopane, Poland. FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 1958
The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 1958 took place 2-9 March 1958 in Lahti, Finland. This marked the third time the city hosted this event having done so in 1926 and 1938. Germany returned to the FIS Nordic Ski Championships for the first time officially since 1939, albeit as East Germany and West Germany. Additionally, it was the first championships to electronic timekeeping where results were timed to the tenth of a second rather than the full second.
