Baraem
Baraem ( ar, براعم) (meaning: buds) is a Qatari pay television channel aimed at preschool kids. It was launched on January 16, 2009, and broadcasts 17 hours daily. Previously co-owned by Al Jazeera Media Network and the Qatar Foundation, Al Jazeera acquired full rights to the channel in June 2013. It was then acquired by beIN Media Group on April 1, 2016. Programming for older children is broadcast on sister channel JeemTV. History The channel was launched on January 16, 2009 as a joint venture between the Qatar Foundation (who owned 90% of the channel) and Al Jazeera Media Network (who owned the remaining 10%). Its on air look was designed by Radiant Studios, who also designed the new on air look for Al Jazeera Children's Channel that debuted the same day. JeemTV ( ar, تلفزيون جيم), formerly known as Al Jazeera Children's Channel (abbreviated as JCC) ( ar, قناة الجزيرة للأطفال), is a Qatari pay television (formerly free-to-air until 2016) channel, aimed at kids between 7 and 12 years old. It was previously co-owned by Al Jazeera Media Network and the Qatar Foundation from launch until June 2013 when Al Jazeera fully acquired the channel. It was then acquired by beIN Media Group on April 1, 2016. History The channel was launched as JCC on September 9, 2005 as a joint venture between the Qatar Foundation (who owned 90% of the channel) and Al Jazeera Media Network (who owned the remaining 10%). Eurobird was a series of satellites owned and operated by Eutelsat. The Eurobird satellites provided broadcasting and telecommunication services primarily to the Western and Central European region from orbital positions of 9, 25.5 and 33 degrees East. Hot Bird (also styled HOTBIRD) is a group of satellites operated by Eutelsat, located at 13 °E over the equator ( orbital position) and with a transmitting footprint over Asia, Europe, North Africa, Americas and the Middle East. Only digital radio and television channels are transmitted by the Hot Bird constellation, both free-to-air and encrypted. In addition there are a few interactive and IP services. Nilesat (; , ''or'' ) is an Egyptian company and the name of a series of Egyptian communications satellites. It was established in 1996 with the purpose of operating Egyptian satellites and their associated mission control center and ground stations. The company is owned by the Egyptian Radio & Television Union with a 40 per cent share, the Arab Organization for Industrialization with a 10 per cent share, the Egyptian Company for Investment Projects with a 9 per cent share and the rest is owned by the general public, Egyptian financial institutions and other investors.
