Bangladesh Tennis Federation
Bangladesh Tennis Federation is the national federation for tennis and is responsible for governing the sport in Bangladesh. History Bangladesh Tennis Federation was established in 1972. It established the National Tennis Complex in Ramna, Dhaka in 1977. In 1985, the Federation became a member of the International Tennis Federation based in London, United Kingdom. It is also affiliated with Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan. The federation is associated with 8 tennis clubs in Bangladesh; they are Barisal Tennis Club, Comilla Tennis Club, Engineers' Tennis Club, Mymensingh Tennis Club, Naogaon Tennis Club, Patuakhaii Tennis Club, Rajshahi Tennis Complex, and Sylhet Tennis Club. Ramna Thana
Ramna Thana ( bn, রমনা থানা) is a police jurisdiction in central Dhaka. It is a historic colonial neighborhood. Once the site of Mughal gardens, it developed into an institutional area during British rule in the late 19th century. It became a focal point for Dhaka's modernization in the 1960s. It was the scene of many tumultuous events that ushered the independence of Bangladesh in 1971. The Ramna Thana falls under the jurisdiction of the Dhaka South City Corporation. The International Tennis Federation (ITF) is the governing body of world tennis, wheelchair tennis, and beach tennis. It was founded in 1913 as the International Lawn Tennis Federation by twelve national tennis associations. Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) ( bn, বাংলাদেশ ক্রীড়া শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান, Bangladesh Institute of Sports Education) is the national sports institute of Bangladesh. It is residential and is located at Savar Upazila, Savar, about north-west of the capital, Dhaka, and about north of the National Martyrs' Memorial. It is a government-funded autonomous institution.
