Bang Your Head!!!
Bang Your Head!!! is a heavy metal and hard rock festival held annually in Germany. First held in 1996 as a one-day indoor event in the Stefan-Hartmann-Halle in Tübingen with a crowd of 600 people, Bang Your Head!!! has since moved to Balingen, growing into a multi-day event attracting 1,800 people in 1998, 18,000 people in 1999 and 20,000 in 2005. Acts that have performed at this festival include W.A.S.P., Dio, Motörhead, Deep Purple, and Twisted Sister. Balingen
Balingen (; Swabian: ''Balenga'') is a town in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, capital of the district of Zollernalbkreis. It is located near the Swabian Jura, approx. 35 km to the south of Tübingen, 35 km northeast of Villingen-Schwenningen, and 70 km south southwest of Stuttgart. It is home to the Bizerba and Ideal companies. History Balingen is first mentioned in 863. Initially a possession of the lords of Haigerloch, in 1162 it was acquired by the count of Hohenberg. In the 13th century it received the title of city from Friedrich der Erlauchte, it was largely rebuilt on the left bank of the river Eyach. Exodus (band)
Exodus is an American thrash metal band formed in 1979 in Richmond, California. Their current lineup consists of guitarists Gary Holt and Lee Altus, bassist Jack Gibson, drummer Tom Hunting, and lead vocalist Steve "Zetro" Souza. There are no original members left in Exodus other than Hunting, who has departed from the band twice, in 1989 and 2004, but rejoined in 2007. Exodus is also notable for its inclusion of guitarist Kirk Hammett in its initial lineup; he eventually left the band in 1983 to join Metallica as Dave Mustaine's replacement. Holt, who replaced original guitarist Tim Agnello in 1981, has been most consistent member throughout various lineup changes and break-ups, and is the only member to appear on all of Exodus' recordings. Evocation (band)
Evocation is a Swedish death metal band from Borås. History Foundation (1991–1992) Evocation was formed in the autumn of 1991 in Borås by bassist Thomas Josefsson, vocalist Jani Karvola, guitarist Marko Palmén, drummer Janne K. Bodén and guitarist Vesa Kenttäkumpu. A few months later, Evocation parted ways with vocalist Jani Karvola. Thomas Josefsson filled the empty spot as vocalist but ceased to continue playing bass. In 1992, two demos were recorded. The first was recorded at Sunlight Studio with producer Tomas Skogsberg. It resulted in a three track and intro demo limited to 500 copies entitled "The Ancient Gate". Later in an interview, Skogsberg named Evocation as "the best demo band he ever had recorded". Mad Max is a German hard rock band from Münster. Warlord was an American heavy metal band, formed in 1980 and based in Los Angeles, California. Since its formation the band was led by guitarist William J Tsamis and drummer Mark Zonder. Delain is a Dutch symphonic metal band formed in 2002 by former Within Temptation keyboardist Martijn Westerholt, intending for the band to be solely a project.
